When the grown ups tell their children to wake up in the Brahmamuhoortha and learn their lessons, the children scarcely listen.
But the fact is that if you get up in the early morning and study your lessons, you will never forget it. All that you study in the early hours remain in your memory. An agency that conducts study on the learning defects in the children has approved of the practice of studying in the early hours of the day.
Brahmamuhoortha starts some forty eight minutes before sunrise. The auspicious time is named after Lord Brahma whose wife Goddess Saraswathi, the diety of all Learning and Arts, too is believed to start working at this time. Hence this time is called Saraswathi Yama as well.
A particular gland on the right side of the head when remains alert, it promotes learning capacity in children. If they sit before a lighted oil lamp, for sometime to begin the day, it too sharpens their memory owing to the positive energy that the rays of the oil lamp spread all around.
It is for these reasons that the gone generation advised the children to get up in the early morning and start studying before a lighted lamp.

@Vijay, so both of us are in concurrence that Ph.Ds are the need of the hour. Your concern is only of the quality - which I would also share to some extent. My wife is a Ph.D (she did it after her marriage) and so I can say that I have got first hand... |
Which eye is more important? The left eye or the right eye? There lies the answer. |
Ph.Ds have a more research-oriented bent mind which is the need of the hour. Let us not consider exceptions as the rule. |
