i think the todays media is very much biased.whatever is being telecasted or broadcasted is very much manipulated.

many of my friends who are working with various reputed media have told me that manipulation is nothing unfamiliar

Well Khalid, my views are a bit different from yours. I believe they are corrupted. They only work for profit that's it. The majority of the new we get are of irrelevant topics and celebrity broadcasts. Everyone knows they are being paid for that. Also, its media who add spices to many news and modify in their own way which many a times becomes a reason for many problems in the society. It has a very bad habit of partiality in many cases because that gives them more spicy news.

yes i do agree with u Mr Japan , media,s ultimate role is now very much diversified not in positive terms but in negative terms.. they better know how to mould right thing in wrong way ...so it,s nothing but manipulation there interest is more toward TRP,s ...in brief i want to conclude that they forget their real role, today

Yup , i do agree that the MEDIA is biased today.. The media has been also working like the FAMILY Channels and K SERIALS , with the sole objective to gain TRPs, More Ads and make money... They have forgot the role to some extend..

Today wr have umpteen numbers of news channels, etc and that to 24/7, in such a case they need content to be shown to maintain high TRP's at the same time maximise revenues. To stand apart from their competitors these peolple start manipulating the content to gain maximum exposure for their brand. I think apart from the reasons mentioned over here its the urge to be at the top that drives them to do manipulation.

Today's Media is sometime biased and some time corrupted , there are lot of example how media behaves during a certain situtation everone is well aware of this ,media can change the society if it will be used in a proper way without exposing biased opinion about any incident or happening.

In recent time Media creates a huge Havoc regarding Swine Flu, it has brought more fear in the mind of people rather than creating awareness and precaution to the public regading Swine Flu.

Even in villages if any one living at Pune,Mumbai or Surat or Vadodra is returning to his/her native village ,life is getting hell in village because people are not allowing them to enter in village.

Most of the time Media is controlled by Powerful business man and politician thats how it become corrupted also.

Should have been posted as a debate. I agree with the view that media is more manipulated than biased.

This topic would have done well as a debate. Sometimes the media is biased, sometimes manipulted and sometimes good. It is difficult to agree that there is nothing good in the media.

you are correct bhushan.moreover they are very well plannedfor e.g.
there are some of my friends who are working in bsnl as a junior engineers and they are fighting for some of there rights which bsnl is not taking care of.on asking media to cover this issue it became totally reluctant b'coz if they'll cover they'll not be given ads by bsnl
