The recent plane crash IX-812 was the second biggest tragedy after the 1979 plane crash in India.Where as the 1979 crash had happened when the plane was taking off,the recent one while the plane was landing.Is there any correlation between the two.About 200 or more died in earlier crash, the recent one swallowed 156 or more.The truth of accident may not come out as the fate of earlier report is not known.But one thing is common,the safety appears to be bypassed in both the cases..The inquiry may fix the pilot ,the way plane crashed.It has however,exposed the civil aviation sector ,the way it works.The passengers are paying for travel through their nose and what they are receiving ? the death certificates.I am of the firm opinion that C A S must assure passengers and for that they should provide information for upkeep of air crafts,safety standards,maintenance of runway etc.

Mr.Bakhsh,

It is not that the pilot was distressed.....don't sleep for 2 days and then try to drive a car, you will understand what I am trying to say. You will be a bit late and confused in making decisions and that lateness is fatal in air.

Mr Munshi,would you kindly put up reference across the forum.I have not seen the findings.I do not think that distressed pilot will hackle the plane at the time of landing when he negotiated the plane properly during course of flight.

The cause of this accident has been fixed to "pilot error/human error". It seems that the pilot had little sleep before the flight. The airline is able to threaten foreign pilots while the same cannot be done with an Indian pilots. The attitude of CAS, DGCA and indian owned airlines has to change - you cannot have two different standards, one for indians and another one for foreigners irrespective of whether it is good or bad.

 Thanks,Neha for your dig about the safety aspect.But foreign pilots?.Instead DGCA must formulate stringent regulation for training and maintenance of Air crafts.

Ppl have to be genuine. I think foreign pilots are a good idea. And safety is not a luxury, it's a necessity.
