KanBan & JIT 2 BIN System

sorry to say but Isha what you said is totally wrong,,
I would like to add some light to this discussion,,

All this system's are a part of Lean Manufacturing or are implemented under TPM,

this all has been initiated by JUSE from JAPAN, 
 in India these system have been introduced from a long time the first Indian company to be awarded by TPM was Vikram cements,
and up till now most of the companies are targeting for Lean manufacturing,

If you really wanna see this system working you can visit MAHINDRA n MAHINDRA, BAJAJ, TATA, ABB, SEIMENS, and many other MNC's as well as companies working under these,

as far as systems are concerned there are many more like ANDON, POKA YOKE, KAIZEN, all this contribute towards Lean Manufacturing, and companies have grown up ,,

A nice demo. on two bin system. Kanban and Jit  have more meaning. The word KANBAN means in Japanese language a ID CARD. For every PULL by the customer from the finished goods stores,the production dept. produces a batch of equal quantity and replaces the goods.To do this activity raw materials are drawn from the stores.The KANBAN card denotes by its identification that goods have to be replaced whenever they are empty along the supply chain.Just in time(JIT) means procuring from the supplier only at the time of requirement and avoid storing activity as such.

Beautiful piece of information & thanks for sharing it Susmita. This video clearly tells how can a manufacturing plant use kanban & JIT to minimize cost & increase productivity.

But as far as I know in India we don't have such applications. We still have to develop a lot.
