Keyword Research made easy !!!

If you are a new or an experienced for keyword research, you already have been introduced to the basics. Attention to the methodology or approach to keyword research that your mentor is teaching to you. If this (keyword effectiveness index) KEI, please consider my warning on your obsolescence. Every word you read the articles should proceed to learn more. The KEI is the sketch, you give a numerical example, tell you exactly why it is now obsolete. But more that just being the bearer of bad news, your messenger of good news as well be - as I tell you exactly what keyword research will include the new methodology.

KEI is a rather common keyword research approach - Two start Through the use of data elements: popularity and competitiveness of keywords and phrases. The reasons for the spread of this approach are two tools that conduct research: Use Google AdWords Keyword Tool and Google search is likely due to availability.

Example: "web design" Our seeds will be used as a key phrase.

Data: Using Google Adwords Tool, 32 7520 searches per month search volume, it is the popularity of our key phrase. Google search, using 76.6 million Web pages per month quantity competition, it is our competition measure.

Formula:

KEI = Popularity ^2 / Competitiveness

where: Popularity is the number of searches for a keyword per month; Competitiveness is the number of web pages that mention a keyword.

Computation:

KEI = (32 7520 x 32 7520) / 76,600,000 = 14.00381

Note that the formula requires popularity to be squared; i.e., raised to the second power. We simplify this (in the above computation) and actually get the same mathematical result by using-- Popularity x Popularity.

Now obsolete? Yes, because now there is an easier way and better way to conduct keyword research. Twenty minutes is all you need for your keywords. It involves the use of four data values--not just two--as is used in the KEI approach. These four metrics fondly referred to as the four golden rules are: traffic, relevancy, competition and Commerciality. KEI-related, similar to traffic and the popularity contest similar to the competition - and indeed is based on the same source data.
