I hope that all those who are working for some company as project people know that there is a contract that is between client and contractor and each one needs to see on how it work based on whose side they are.

We must know that all construction or project contracts are based on International commercial LAW.  We have to know the Indian Contract law and other legal aspects of a contract.

It only provides a framework of rules and regulations which govern formation and performance of contract. The rights and duties of parties and terms of agreement are decided by the contracting parties themselves. The court of law acts to enforce agreement, in case of non-performance...

This community is for Planning and I will like to ask all those in construction industry if we have to follow the PMI standards or use AACE rcommended practices for planning in infrastructure and construction projects.
Please note that Planning and scheduling are different. You are asking about the estmation at the planning stage which requires one to follow the planning process. This is what we are now teaching the planning engineers and it is not just a step by...
Recommended Practices I see a lot of discussions and ideas on Planning and Scheduling, but fail to understand why very few refer to global recommended practises and also talk about Cost engineering.  I will request each planning engineer in the...
