I sometime think that what divided us. How were religions and caste formed and how this thought that men are stronger than women and this is a man's world come into existence??

I still have no answer. The only thing I understand is there are two possibilities :

1. We were created by God

2. It is evolution

In both the cases we were created in same manner. No one was big or small. There were no castes , communities and fights. Our fore fathers created that. This was then inserted into the society. This is just a creation and why have we taken it in such a serious sense? Should not we think on our own that what the reality is..

We are were created the same way and no one is bigger than other one. Life is a beautiful gift and fighting on name of caste, community or state is like spoiling the beauty..

All Religions are interpretations from time to time, there is no religion, we are all earthlings, only basic duty is to serve the humanity in coherence with nature. Mahabharata, Ramayana are all bed-time stories which inculcated into a something sacrosanct eventually, became sacred as the stories contain some "MORAL". Take any religion for example, they are all man made. Why is God always "HE"? Why not "SHE"?

Yes. We need this unity in diversity. Because, we find now-a-days, sectional interests surface very often & overwhelm the common interests.Tolerance & investing in opportunities for others' development, coexistence, over-all growth with equity the Education so imparted & lessons learned , only to highlight these to society & makes living wonderful.
Thanks Darshana, for referring this topic.

Logically, GOD, the creator - whoever we believe that entity to be - could have used EVOLUTION as an essential part of the process of creation.

There is an ALTERNATIVE theory suggested by a few, notably: William Bramley in his book "The Gods of Eden" and Erich von Daniken in his many books, starting with "The Chariots of the Gods".

They propose that those we think of as "gods" were extra-terrestrials who had come to us (at that time openly and nowadays are still visiting secretly).

William Bramley even says that our human species "homo sapiens" was created by the extra-terrestrials doing genetic modifications to "homo neanderthalensis" who were the ancestors of "homo sapiens".

Of course, the above theory does not answer the question of who GOD really is. IT MAY VERY WELL BE THAT WE CANNOT ANSWER THE QUESTION OF WHO/WHERE IS GOD AS LONG AS WE ARE ALIVE.

What we have remaining to us is our belief. Most sane individuals, including the authors mentioned above, feel that BELIEF IN A RELIGION/DEITY IS AN EXTREMELY PERSONAL DECISION.

AS FOR PROOF - THERE IS NONE. If there really were any proof, there is no need to "believe" because we would "know".

I agree with Krishna Bhardwaj that some hardliners are bent on creating divisions. These people are very selfish people WHO USE RELIGION TO DOMINATE & CONTROL PEOPLE for their own greed & lust for power & money.

Dear Darshana,
Change is the only constant thing in nature. But we so called Human beings have always gone against the nature inviting chaos, wrath and destruction. The DIVIDE, based on Gender, Caste, Religion is the result of we humans not chanhing our mindset. The pity is that , we talk and discuss about change, but never try or do things that helps us adapt to the change. We hang on to the so called Structure of the ages even now, without understanding the very purpose behind the creation of such parallels. Alarmingly, the educated crust is not really educated about such issues. Unless every single soul questions oneself about this, the misery will not be sorted out. HOPE FOR THE BETTER.

Good heading.lets us stand as one.History has always taught us lessons and yet history repeats itself.Human beings are more sane to understand that we can be one and its the animals who have differentiated to themselves for their own survival.however even human beings follow these animal instincts for survival. The most important of all is let a man respect his partner a women in life in respect of treatment, religion, caste, creed, language, state and yet be ethical.we in India though we have so much of diversity yet in a majority we are still united though yet there are the differences and crimes against women the stand you have taken and the awareness among all will reduce the difference over a period of time. we have raise it continuously over this issue to reduce the differences and history will speak about ti one day.let us believe it will happen.

I think that most of these man-made differentiators result out of weakness - to position self above others.
We were created as one species, but as usually we humans create imaginary sections to discrimate in our own favour. Maybe only extraordinary people do not have this need.
Why does that need to be done? Can't we survive and flourish without dividing society? I believe we can if only we wish...

Its like saying all living beings are equal. If that was the case then who will eat whom for survival ?. We are different, in fact all are different. What lacks is any respect between these differences. Accept own differences and respect others too.

Maybe women lacks men's physical strength, but they compensates it with physical endurance. Which unfortunately is declining as they are more involved in men's career driven world. In fact your are right; it will take evolution some time in adding more muscles to women. Frankly, i don't want to live in that world.

How lovely and peaceful great words sound.... :) But i think nothing can be achieved by talking great only. India is notoriously known all over the world for fighting communites. Do you think, talking great words since last 50 yrs say "North Indians and South Indians are brothers" , "Hindus and Muslims love each other" "All the castes are one" etc really made any difference... ? Same is the case going to happen with men and women. It's a fire, on which many commercial dishes are going to be cooked. So, your beautiful thoughts no doubt beautiful.. but not going to make any difference. It's difficult to stop the fight, because of a peak level of egoism filled up in individuals.

Lot of thanks for sharing such a issue. In fact people are trying to be united and stand as one. But few hardliner are there who use to spoil the relations and makes the issue worst. We must recognize such persons and give them a lesson so that they will be aware of the results and will not do that in future.

The creation and evolution are the two sides of the same coin. The basic element is created and put to a evolution process starting from big bang. Some of us belief in a creator and others not. Some belief that there is no end and no beginning. Interestingly this universe is made up with one basic particle and even the invisible and visible also contains the same. The same basic particle forms living and non living things which have a definite beginning and end. When the end is sure, than there is a definite path to end. We belief that god is every where and he is the smallest and the biggest, than the basic element it self is the god. The god himself creates different forms to act/work either in visible or invisible form and to satisfy his own universal principle to end the creation for another creation. Therefore, every body is the form of god only and part of a evolution process of the universe. The man and women are the most recently created creature, blessed with sense and intelligence, so that he can know the self and reason of self and follow the universal principle of living. Each and every activity, thought and deed of a person governs his next moment and next birth and the process continues till the end.

As per Maharishi Mahesh Yogi the vedas the Religion is there and were divided into 4 types Brahmin,Kshetriya,Vaishya and Shudras; and accordingly one were following the the traditional jobs, with the advent of modernity and every one stepping into different jobs, the quality of thought never changes even now.As per Hindhu Philosophy we carry forward the Genes of Ancestors. However i opine that one should to stick to their respective Religion they are born to and uphold the best principles of their respective Religion and be a better Hindu,or a Christian or a Muslim or Sikh etc..As far the Gender divide will go in due course by treating Women on par with Men on all respects,by Social reforms and education and women plays a mjor role in upbringinging

Our culture is hard as a rock. For centuries it has been subjected to major onslaughts from invaders who tried all odds to wipe it out but failed to do so. On the other hand they were subdued and assimilated some of our values in their society. The Hindu society gave utmost importance to a woman who was treated as a goddess and held with respect. Although they made the man as head of the family yet the position of the woman was kept at par. In all religious ceremonies the wife had to be essentially present by the side of the man. After the renunciation of Sita Lord Shree Ram has to put up her statue by his side for performing the Ashwamegha Yagna.
Today the degradation of moral values has created major problems for women of all classes in India.
This is part of a cycle of events and will subside after some time. Regarding the distinctions of caste, religion and class barriers I feel this is due to lack of proper moral education in schools at home and in society. It is also due to inability of the present generation to perceive clearly a vision for their future. The intentions of getting rich overnight and indulging in vices for luxury has become the order of the day.
Shoma in her video on Tehelka.com had said a few days ago that a saint like Ramdeo should , instead of protesting to government, should have used his influence to create an awakening in the minds of people in support of his stand. No amount of legislation or force can curb corruption, dishonesty and unlawful behavior in society.
We have to strive to re-build our society by sacrificing personal interests and ego and mobilizing like minded people to build up the nation and retrieve India’s past glory.

Darshana, You have put forward a good question indeed. I have reflected that ignorance divided us i.e., the ignorance of our own religion. God is always merciful but man is impatient. In the sight of God both men & woman are equal but at some places men have privilege over women and vice versa. We can know our religion only through our sacred scriptures about which most of the people are ignorant. So, we must go through our sacred scriptures rather comparatively and give respect to each others religion.

Thanks,Darshana,A very pious thought indeed. This division is the resultant of space for maintenance of "SOUL".This apart, she or he is inherent with sole purpose of fortune. These two characteristic are visible in all living creatures. For instance, take the case of big cats....aka LION.. even if lioness hunts for the foods,he appears from nowhere and she leaves the food for him and patiently wait her turn. What I mean, that despite our evolution till modern times, crave for superiority is alive. And this complex is not allowing us to leave amicably.

60 years of independence, with so much of scam driven corrupt government, first of all we need to identify as to what should be the objective of expressing the views of unity and integrity, secondly most of the present generation are more individually driven people, so teamwork definetly takes the beating. We should stand as one provided there is no discrimination, even to the extent of the colour of the skin. As presently, India is moving ahead as the leading 3rd world nation, so there is much more than this for anybody to think on the lines of unity and integrity, as disparity of thought process is also to be considered considering the fact of stand as one. Not to forget, we still follow democracy, no wonder most of the expression and feelings are left to be desired.
It comes from lack of confidence and fear. People try to relate to themselves with their own group. They dont want to mingle with others as they do with theirs. See the situation in Andhra Pradesh, a fight for Telangana. I do respect their rights. But, in this process, hatred is being created on the people from other regions. A split is evident in the minds. This was a creation by the interested parties. Same as with the community and caste.
