Yes this is a very good concept where one can really enjoy the culture and tradition of that place first hand...and yes Manas is right this gives the people extra income and also tourists a new experience in travelling....

Definitely, it is a good idea. For having a better chance of success, the idea requires a high level of law enforcement and a high sense of responsibility.

What made me happier is that you are one of those few people, who appreciate this form of tourism.. though in India this concept is IN, but it will take quite a lot of time to create among Indian socities. This is my only aim..

I would suggest you to plan a trip to Himachal Pradesh, where you will get more depths of home stay concept...

Yes Vikrant this is a very good concept i have seen this type of tourism happening in Coorg in Karnataka, where tourists go for Home-stays rather than Hotels and Restaurants, and even I had been to such place and it was wonderful where we lived in the 1st floor of the house and the family of that house in the ground floor, there were 3 rooms in that house which they had given to tourist places, and also home made food which was really good, and the money was also very less, and a great thing about it is like we will be living in the nature itself in big estate's and this gives you a great experience like never before.....And this also gives them extra income with this and yes this can be a sustainable tourism format..Thanks for the insight Vikrant.
