Life / Work mutual influences

'The purpose of life is to find a a life of purpose' & in my opinion, particularly in India, all common people are just striving towards serving their best to their families & the same spirit keeps things going.    

Work has begun to dominate life completely, as personal lives are tailored to suit professional lives. Relationships, lifestyles, leisure activities all fall under this domain. Since work and life are not separate entities anymore, the question of striking a balance does not arise. Maybe, family and friends keep struggling to find a balance with each others; professional lives.

Just the underlying stress of work reflects on to the family, the family stress also manifests on the work front. when it is a man suffering from domestic stress the tendecy is to pretend that it does not exist, when it is a women a lot of smypathy is elicited.

both go coordinated with each other,, but yes porfessional impact is more resounding then personal vis a vis

two loaves of bread in the morning ... live the day..
 ... a couple of drops .of scotch .. a new set of lies ..
.. get set go for the new day ..
... this is work life balance ...

I don't know if I can parse the impact of work vs. life or visa versa.  They are totally interconnected- I agree.  I think that is the beauty of humanness.  We are the sum total of our multi-facetted lives, times X- we are so much more.  Part of being an authentic person is really knowing who and what you are, when and where you are.   When you get ready to go in and pitch a deal, you are the father that had to stay up with a sick child as well as the husband that got irritable with his wife on the way out the door.  And when you come home at night, you will bring the vestiges of your work day home with you.  Education, upbringing, experience, insight, support systems and presence are a few of the X factors that allow you to win that big deal you were pitching despite the reality that you felt like burt toast deep down.
