The orginal maoists are no more there. The present day maoists are also like our political bosses who will stoop to any level to accomplish what they want and what they feel right. I am also a communist by heart (my first vote in 1976 was casted to a strong communist) but can never agree to merciless killings. From ages there was deprivation of the poor and sword has always been thought to be mightier than pen. So the present day , so called maoists have resorted to gun rather than being able to find solutions through negotiations. I also agree that our Democracy (nearing to be a Banana Republic) except for some good souls is filled with the unwanted, corrupt and in-efficient people. How can we expect these bunch to solve this problem, which is spreading fast. I have a strong feeling that if not all, majority of the violence is by and because of the errant political class and or the corrupt society.
