Okay more than 4 days over,
Happy mothers day, now is the time for the postmartum of the postpartum halo.
The great icons of motherhood, JijaBhai, tried achieving her Maratha samrajya through son Shivaji, so much so she did not even pause to think of the implication, that it had on Tanaji who had to go to war as he was performing his daughters wedding.
Or the Kunti’s orders of 5 brothers sharing Draupadi, or even her pushing her sons to political greatness she oscillates between good cop, and bad cop to achieve this.
the icon mother’s are so sacrificing and so generous about giving their children what they did not have, but never stopped to think if that is what their child wants.
Its as if the society says you fit into this grid of unknown origin but universal acceptance and your reward is this child who you can manipulate and control body and mind. Mother the guiding light, mom knows best, and maa ke ajna ke paalan karna don’t they all sound so dictorial.
Even today look around how many parents particularly mothers sacrifice and demand the sacrifice remuneration, on the alter of giving their children what they did not get. Essentially what we are talking about is pander to the child within us and not our children.
The saddest part is this kind of dominance, and abuse is not only accepted it is also lauded on.

I doubt if anyone has really sat down and thought why do they work. Majority of them are doing it because the society demands it. neither knowledge or work commands passion anymore |
