Mr Gogoi I am impressed with your views as we are gradually leaving nature far far behind from us. Please post some examples how one can utilise natural product so that common people will get some idea. Also we can elaborate and exemplify it to people too.

i really agree with Mr. Khirod on the recycling thing and also to use less plastic bags or paper bags when they are doing shopping...by this will be reducing the use of plastic and less trees will be cut due to the use of paper...

We must aware and control for any wastage. Reuse and recycling is the best possible method for controlling for wastage. Hence doing self first, and try to bring up the same at least from their own localities.

Here in one stone we can kill two birds, by saving natural resources and reducing global warming. As to save fuel we need to do car pulling, short distances yes as Mr.Naidu said better we walk and keep ourselves fit, replace all the bulbs with CFL, charge mobiles only for a short time ofcourse depending on requirements and usage, here again if we have brasnded cell phones the battery lasts for long i have experienced with nokia and samsung handsets. ever possible have greenery around home or office plant atleast 2 big growing trees in six months. drive between 45-55 km speed use less cluch and avoid sudden braking and save fuel, for a better tomorrow why not save now?

I have done the following at my home:
1) I have replaced all Incandescent bulbs with low wattage CFLs and they work like a marvel.
2) I have removed unwanted lighting.. basically Lighing used for decoration, sitouts etc.
3) I have a 2 Wheeler.. but I use it only to travel beyond 1.5 kms or during emergency for short distance. For 1.5 kms I walk.
4) when I am out of station for long time, I directly Switch off the main.

This way I am able to save money and Environment and try and keep fit.
I think we should also teach kids to switch off appliances when not in use.

If you have some tips, I can learn them from you as well.

Everyone is impressed with Someone who speaks about Green Fuel and saving the environment.
But is anyone doing anything ?
How many times have we walked to work or a shop which is at a 15 minutes Walking distance (1 KM)?
How many of us have stopped using Incandescent bulbs ?
How many of us would like to adopt a Cycle to travel to work which is within around 4 Kms ?
How many of us are planting trees and protecting them ?
Everyone wants to get energy with out emitting Carbon dioxide. Now that is Economically not possible....

It is a Nice topic to talk about and I appreciate Mr Gogoi bringing it up.. But the fact remains that not everyone is ready to Walk the Talk when it comes to Environment.

I must add that alonwith advancement of technology our standard of LIVING is improving gradually,BUT we should not forget that our standard of LIFE should always follow the rules of nature.I think if one follow this rule technology can never dominate (not even now) Nature's Rules at all.

Good insight. We should all start focusing on reality.
Read this article in the news yesterday...."You've heard of "green" fuel. Now get ready for yellow as scientists have found a way to turn banana waste into a sustainable fuel source that could be relevant to many countries across Africa.
.....for the rest of the story go to http://bioenergy.checkbiotech.org/news/going_bananas_energy_africa
