PC gaming is now in arena of a world sports. We as country, representing in world sports, have not been very successful in our campaign. A mind over matter sports gives us the opportunity to raise our hopes in Pc gaming which according to WCG ranking, we are 34th in the world. There are few houses/organisations trying to captilise on the new sports, but the real question is why shouldnt this sport have a mainframe, more organised and most importantly more participation. Here i am not only reffering to player's participation but also many Gaming enthusiast who have melted themselves in this world either to be part of it or earn a living out of it.

There is serious need of the hour to get things into perspective. This is one Sport India can really capitalise on. We may agree that we dont have the greatest muscle in the world but we do have the greatest brain. An illfate that we in all other sports due to lack of interest shown by people concerned with the sport and cricket being a religion than a sport.

A very delicate handling of the industry is needed instead of few wannabees trying to steal all show which they cant handle. India has more state than they have offices all over the country. This sports needs a  mainframe, a central body, an authority.

you are right about the support part, sometimes parents are not supportive even for physical sports unless its cricket. these countries, mostly asian countries, like singapore, malaysia, taiwan, korea, japan and now china have sponsors supporting them. These country have developed this sports like any other sports, coaches, managers etc. The system of selection for representation is highly developed process. i read somewhere online that US is experimenting on Gamers, you see even though i m a good driver i cant really drive in games. some gamers who cannot drive are exellent drivers. based on that USAF is to trying to experiment unmanned planes flown by these gamers. they beleive that they would be able to bring in the edge... Things are changing but India is still stuck in the same era. My main concern is on the small time Cafe owner who has tried to bring in some money and passion among the generation. You are right about the cost. I figured some 35,000 bucks for a decent entry level PC for gaming. With the help of these cafes one can have more participation without putting in lot of money at once. I would like these gaming cafe to operate and become an integral part of the gaming industry not just like a kinara store in front of retail Industry

yes Mr. Chingkhei one needs to understant the Gamer, i have seen where most of the parents don't support them in this category, as they always say there is no future in it and all the other things, but as far i have seen in other countries companies sponsor these gamers i guess and there is so much money at stake, and with increasing number of events like these all over the world, its a whole new market which is there to be tapped, so even its addictive, its a good addiction...And in India its only kids who have PCs at home can play, and the configuration requirement of the games change time and again so to be at the top and play Games which are popular worldwide takes some cash out of your pocket but its worth it, but then the participation takes a beating where most of the kids can't afford such high end configurations for their PCs.. but coming days look really good for Gaming in India...

thanks Mr. Pawar for ur agreement on the central body need. Few months back i never knew the dynamics of this gaming industry even though i knew its existence. Some of our batch mate decided to organise an event and making it one of the biggest. Unfortunately it never took off but i was fortunate enough to know some realities. i was not sorry that it never took off but what i experienced made me think again of how i had pictured this industry. so i decided to do my thesis on the prospect of PC gaming in India where i have certain plans for promoting the industry country wide.
To be honest i m not a gamer myself, i seldom play games in my beat up laptop but what i know from the people around me who have been into gaming is they are driven into this sports they seem to find a whole new world where they can be anyone and show the power of their mind. Its not easy to be one (gamer), a good one, lots of dedication and discipline is required like any other sports. Some feel their completeness here and some feel their existence is more valuable in the digital world.
Some people treat this sport as drugs; addictive, need some amount of money to live in the game world, have no bright future, is constantly discouraged by elders. I, not being a gamer, feel that i can bring more justice to things in perspective of the Gaming World.
First Task ------- Understand a Gamer (not easy)

Yes Pc games are increasing day by day as most of the youngsters and even adults are hooked to these games these days and are eagerly waiting for the release of games, and certainly their participation in these games has increased drastically, with Pc gaming becoming a major event in the calendar year all over the world is generating a lot of interest, India is not far behind interms of participation, where Bangalore and Mumbai attract many of the players in the country to participate in such things...but still the gaming concept in the country is in much the nascent stage, but it can be groomed very well as there is tremendous potential in this...one can see where people are more into Fifa than cricket in gaming and also other popular games are attracting whole new breed altogether...so yes there should be a central body and authority to make this sports more visible........
