A new era of new writers is here. But what are they penning down? Many IITians have published their love stories and following there steps it is Ritwik a 15 yr old who too has penned down his love story!!

Litereature and art are way too deeper tehn these stories aren't they? If we go to a book shop we will find so many .. so many books about anything and everything. Today everyone wants to be a writer. I predict that after 10 years from now evry couple will be willing to publish their love story and then there will be no one to read it!

We need authors who write serious and beautiful stuff. The current trend needs to be changed. Do you share the same feelings as me ? What is your opinion?

as society has changed from its traditional moral value, people has also changed its view by its movies, writings etc. some so called writter has penned down to b famous or their own identification and popularity inspired by chetan bhagat. But honestly they r spoiling the pure literature. this type of cheap love stories never b literature. it might b an entertainmnt media for those ppl who is having some interest to read. but this never b long lasting. i mean these writings nvr impact ppls mind for long time.

You are right Sulangana. Now a days LOVE is out of culture and it should be banned from the literature!!

Thanks,Sulagna for referral. Every one wants to become "Chetan Bhagat" who is a IITIAN and MBA.There is no harm in penning a love story provided concept is original, well structured and avoid 'cut and copy'."You dare to write but material should be right".

Well, today it could be love stories written, tomorrow it could degrade even further writing sensual stuffs. But as long as you have some audience to purchase your stories, there is no harm in it. Literature has certainly taken a hit by these cheap kind of writings, but thats what people love to read in the modern era. Love, Sex and Dhoka are the key elements that the modern audience unfortunately look up in every published literature.

Just ridiculous to see everyone is trying to be established as writer with their autobiography on love life.I dont think those will be considered as literature and stories could be similar. Some people have habbit writing details day to day events in diaries. Those all may be like diaries for a particular period of 3-4 years.

As there is lack of good authors and those good authors take their own time to write and publish good book, there is a demand to authors. So the publishers take up what they feel fair enough and publish, The standard of writing has come down very badly. To get good writing is becoming very difficult. I feel some of publications are far below any standard to read.

If there is love then stories are made out of it.
If it is a story then love is missing.

you are very right sulagna. love stories are the feelings of one persons that they feel during the time. that is truth and as the person want to see in everyone life they enjoy by reading this. but no want to write on the problems. no one want insight within him. i felt that human is going away from emotion and humanity. there is only a show of personality and there is nothing inside. no one want to listen about love and joy which is in the small things of life. love takes place in the soul. and i think this is the cause why writer are not writing the other things. experience pain and express pain, experience love and express love, experience things and express things. but how they will bring the expression because they have exprience of the materialistic world so the stories in these days are materliastics.

Right view about literature by Sulagna. Today our Y2K culture like this type of stories so the writers go on this type of stories

I dont think commenting on ones art should be our prerogative. If one feels,he/she is producing a good piece of writing, they have all the liberty. At least such person will never feel that had he been a writer he would have been renowned. Our judgement comes in when we need to select our copy to read.if you feel, love stories are not literature, then you may skip such writings.Just writing a book, does not acclaim it to be a good read, unless public votes for it.But it does make one a writer and raises ones morale.even love stories have meaning, motivation, enthusiasm, emotions and a taste of literature if rightly portrayed.A book's marketing, publicity, positioning and launch plays a big thing in its success. It is just like an average movie gearing votes just because of its lucky timing. At the end, customer is the king,if you are able to touch the hearts of the reader, you are a real writer, else you are one in the crowd.

If you think like this, We have not had LAILA MAJNU, ANARKALI, DEVDAS ETC. like excellent movies. Unless and until the values of the expression does not spoil the main theme of the subject will be called as LITERATURE. Here the subject is Love... where the piousness of the character should be shown or write in an excellent description should be called as literature. But now a days the writers are choosing the short cuts to explain the feeling of love in a different or vulgar way misguide the readers. Films too following the same footsteps, due to not having good command over the language how to express the situation. Anyhow the effect on the Youth and Readers is high rated and the main topic getting ill treatment.

True. Like Mr.Shrikant Manohar, I love reading books on almost all the subjects. Since we are selective, we dont touch these books, unless it is a great story and worth reading. Have you noticed, that equal number of books appear on self development? Most of them are useless and repetitive !!

If we go this way, in India we have, say, 40$ literate population who have some writing skill. So we can expect 48 crore books in our bookstalls if every literate person wants to write his own story, as they would be having enough material to publish, even if they were to cover from then teenage to adulthood! Literature is something beyond this, well said, Sulagna! Literature is not also arranging words in rhythmic style, literature should stem from the facts, but to be presented in a sophisticated way adding similes, metaphors and deep imagination inter-twined to make one's material readable, forcing the readers to read again and again. Every time, he / she reads the presentation should be able to give different perspectives and new thinking, that is literature!
