Whenever their is a gathering of people, there will be an exchange of thoughts. Thoughts that people want to share in terms of their own perspective as best lernt through experience, culture and people around them! Reproduction of these knowledgable ideas is what is most important! How is it put through on platfroms to best express an opinion and its relevance to the topic in question!

In a gathering, its a natural instinct of people to make an impression. They would want to be noticed too. Some for their flair, some for their knowlledge, some for the work and responsibility that they carry out and some merely because of their influences!! In all these there is a certain amount of thought process that one carries out. The process is HOW? Now being humans it is natural to make a small mistake which can be easily rectified if pointed out in the correct fashion! But if pointed out accusingly, it takes a different turn and is perceived not as a pointer but an accusation against the person. There is got to be a social decorum that neeeds to be observed!! People need to be sensitive about others if they expect the same consideration back. What needs to be remembered here is that on platforms like toostep, we are talking to people by showcasimg our thoughts. Our thoughts are our brand ambassadors. Our thoughts are projecting who we are, how we think and how we understand. These are very important to me and I am sure to all of us because here is an opportunity to run in with the best of the best professionals. These are people who have scaled heights, scaled success, scaked failures even and then risen to levels of magnanimous proportions in their field of work. These are people who might just offer a hand of friendship, an advice that can change your career an idea that can put you on the global map!!

The reason for my writing here is in the form of an appeal, an appeal to the better senses of all of us, that we make a serious effort and learn to accept and understand everybody's perspective before we judge anybody!! In my personal experiences (with due respects, because I am taking some names here) I have noticed some amazing moments on this very platform!! I have had my run ins with Ms. Kaladeen. But I have also openly apologised for my sttacks on her. ANd why not?? If I am wrong in my understanding and I have been judgemental in my thoughts, its my responsibility to set it right!! I did! VIktor Stephen is an amazingly experienced person! I really can say at this time that I must have had maximum thumbs down from him!! I have gotten into serious arguments with him in debates and I have loved every moment of it. It was really very selfish too. I knew that I can learn a lot from him. I still am. I have had my run in with Allka as well. But then I do not think the run in was stretched beyond a single message! It was because of the effort that I needed to take to understand her perspective!!

I am not cleansing myslef here but offering you an insight to the people who are important to me. Mr. Vanayam Durga Rao, need I say more? Mr. Ajay Ziz, <r. Anup Bagla, Mr. Taranath Joshi, Satwinder, Hrudanand De, Paresh K, Aditya Ghare and so many others here are very straight forward people with amazing thoughts and understanding of the field thattheu work in and also current scenarios!!There a re a lot more than I have named here who can be of tremendous help here to all of us.

Its just that we need to slightly change the way we look at them! Its a sincere appeal to all of you here to seriously look at how best we can resolve matter of difference of opinions with our own experience and intelligence rather than palying the blame game. I guess thats meant for people who lack the qualities that all of here have hond over a period of time and money!!

Lets all colletively rise to the ocassion and make this the platform where people would log on to seek professionals who can, people will talk about getting a solution and people will flock on because we have time and again proven that we are the only paltform that in all fairness encourages sharing knowledge and partaking in it from others as well!!

Need to take a break...

Please do share your views as well!!

Ms. Kaladeen, I empathise! I can also imagine your stress. But believe you me, for people what matters most is what and whom they read. Comments can come and go, the person and his thoughts remain. The reason for the appeal is not for anypseudo handshakes or whetting the crious appetites for identity claims... its basically for people to relise that we are on a forum and there is a certain amount of decency that needs to be maintained!1 For me, I would always read you most enthusiatically, always. I need not be satisfied by who and what you are, but what you post and write tells me a lot about you and I maintain that you are one of the person who matters to me!! So shun the thoughts of people who need to be satisfied by who you are and remain doing what you do best!! Thanks for being here. :))

Sorry guys, I was a bit busy sorting out some things. I would second every word of Makarand with my heart not for the writing skills but for the honesty and heart felt thought that he has brought up here and I would also go to the extent of saying that Makarand has represented all of us here because at one time or more each of us have got into some small or big, intentional or non-intentional arguements, blame games, etc., but people be honest and say it that we all have learned so much here from all the great and wonderful contributors. I have understood that fighting back all the time is not a solution. You have to listen to other people also before putting your thoughts and opinions. Tolerance is of equal importance. We all have hurt people knowingly or unknowingly and have also got hurt. Its all give and take here. There are some people who know no boundaries and hurt people badly, nothing personal here but I also feel that Devi has been mistreated here which is not correct. She has great knowledge to share and I don't think and have never noticed that she has pointed fingers at anyone for no reason. We are all here to discuss, debate, etc., but lets not insult anyone here. If such insults and bad behavior continue, we will unfortunately loose great contributors on this forum.

Lets play healthy here. Lets not hurt or insult anyone. We are all humans and we all make mistakes. We have got used to reading each other and their contributions so much that we at times take each other for granted, again there is no harm in doing so, but only as long as we do not forget that we have to respect everyone here and welcome everyone here even if we differ in our outlook approach and opinion.

I apologize to one and all if I have knowing or unknowingly hurt any one or annoyed anyone. I value each one of you here and I hope we have a great sharing relationship always....

cheers,
Alka

Makrandji, your article would surely fetch a loud loud applause if it were in a public place.
I was really sitting quiet, because when 2-3 elephants clash, the one who goes in between would be smashed and perhaps not the elephants. I was on the verge of advising Rohiniji about the same. But my social responsibility did not allow me to keep mum.
Dear all whoever is having a difference of opinion between each others, please write your words in a piece of paper and keep it with you for 2 days. If the same thing holds good (without a single correction) after 2 days, please post it in the forum.
This forum teaches us the Project Management. You have to manage win hearts of people and not to hurt. If you succeed without hurting anybody, you become project manager because there will be a lot of supporters for you.
Also that, whatever others write, please consider that it is their opinion. If it suits your mentality, give thumbs up, else forget (forgive) it.

Hi,

I read the article and the comments written by the respected members of Too step.
I am very disturbed by the fact .what are we doing here...come-on it is a professional site to discuss various issues and topics....but we like school kids are just fighting and arguing here.

All of us are well educated and professionals here. So instead of doing cat fights why don’t we concentrate in promoting the ideas and this awesome site........

This site is a great platform to express our views and share ideas.....and this site has helped me a lot in upgrading my ideas and I am sure all of you are with me in this comment...

So, when we are getting so much from this site so why we are degrading its status by fighting openly here and posting some unwelcomed comments to each other. Where has the professionalism gone…….?

I don’t want to loose any of members of this site but want to make a nice a healthy environment here.

I hope you all are with me.

Regards,
Rohini

@ Makarand,

<<"I am simply put DISAPPOINTED IN YOU LOT!! I WILL NOT APPEAR ON THIS FORUM AGAIN!!">>

Sad that you had to put a post mentioning you do not wish to be a part of the forum anymore.
I understand your sentiments and the effort you made to make all understand that infighting does not solve anything except help in boosting personal egos.
I guess you need to take a line from the discussions going on, that such issues need to be given scant attention and one should carry on doing the good work that one is attuned to doing in life.
While I might not be able to make you change your mind (if you have already decided to not participate in future), I could only request you as a fellow member to ignore the infighting and such members that do indulge in such tactics at personal levels. It would, indeed, give me great pleasure to have you change your mind and return to the forum with renewed vigor. I, personally think and believe that you have great ideas that would be of immense help to me and many others.

Thumbs down on comments is not a personal attack at all ..........attack is personal only if you take it personally.........when you push other person to think in your way and get convinced with you.....things start going down and down.....this is my opinion.....believe it or not.....

Sir this is a good article. Basically each person will have his/her own views on any given topic and by engaging in healthy debates one can increase his knowledge. Unfortunately the main problem arising here is that we are not guiding our discussions in positive manner. Here in this article also you have mentioned the importance of taking criticism in positive manner but the comments put up is not at all supporting our intentions. Copying your comment "This is like a DOGS TAIL!!..." is apt for this situation. Try to take criticism in a positive sense. That can improve you in all means.

No comments regarding any issues raised,

But Too step is a wonderful platform for sharing our views and experiences and it is painful to see the comment “Do you think after the personal attack I am faced with presently, I will have the heart to recommend this site to anyone in my country?”
I feel considering her valuable contributions to this site, Devi madam deserves better treatment.(personal)

Let us be world citizens.

This is like a DOGS TAIL!!... Try to straighten it, it will still curl and keep wagging!! Its maybe not the best example but a very apt one!! nd all this from mature, learned people!! I remember in one of the debates about man and animals, civilisation, I had mentioned that we are worst than animals because of the fact that we have emotions, but animals are devoid of it, they cannot speak... I prefer them to people anyways!!

If you guys think that by keeping this mudslinging going on you are proving a point here... I am sorry to say that you are just CRACKING THE MORROR THAT HAD ME LOOK AT YOU IN HIGHESTEEM!!
It doesnt matter who started it, what matters is that you wish to keep going!! Well, its your party I tried to bring in some semblance, but it seems that you prefer being in a drunken stupor of VICTORY!! I am simply put DISAPPOINTED IN YOU LOT!! I WILL NOT APPEAR ON THIS FORUM AGAIN!!
thanks for your company... I hhave indeed learnt that EDUCATION IS NOT THE KEY TO GOOD BEHAVIOR AT ALL... IN FACT IT SPOILS EVERYTHING! I AM HONESTLY VERY IRRITATED WITH THIS AND ALL YOU LOT OF PEOPLE (I AM NOT TAKING NAMES AS I KNOW THE PEOPLE WILL UNDERSTAND)!!... GOOD GOD.. ITS TIME FOR MY FREEDOM FROM THIS ATROCIOUS CROWD!!!

My dearest MAKRAND,
I wrote u a personnel letter u didn't reply,in that very letter I told u that I was ur fan, after reading this article my eyes were full of tears, that u can only the person who can write such an original thoughts, nothing copying and pasting in any of the article ,debate etc till now ,u must have gone through my profile I am throughout topper in all classes and degrees, thing is I am B.TECH from IIT MADRAS,but after that purely technical and never wrote such a big letter, had steno's auditors to write and take dictation and type,I know typing very less ,though I employed many.
Now coming to main point I am 61 years and when many have started giving me thumbs down without reason or telling me or guiding me in non technical matters it hurt me and for English writing and language too.
In spite of all these,ur article have moved me allot and for the mistake which I didn't do I take all responsible and feel sorry to all my younger' s even.

@ Ms Kaladeen, Makarand.
I have been off this forum for some time due to another engagement that has been taking up most of my time (not that I have been a very active contributor in the past), but what I see of the recent postings makes me sad. I agree that as self-respecting individuals and professionals, we need to be also aware of another person's thought processes. If there are ideas that do not gel with one's thought processes, one might wish to put forth one's views on the same, but obviously, one needs to have the basic decency to put forth one's ideas without hurting another's feelings or sentiments.
As for me, I have been on innumerable fora in the past and have realised that such scathing personal attacks are a part of such debates. However, one needs to understand that the one who gets personal in attacking/ debating, is one who would not be able to justify or stand by what comments they make, once pushed into a corner.
Such people need to be ignored as much as their writings should, since there is not much content to learn from there, in any case.
My suggestion is to let bygones be bygones, continue relevant professional postings and ignore people whoa re on the forum to just create misgivings and hatred amongst the community without themselves contributing to anything satisfatorily.
