BHAGAT SINGH and NON VIOLENCE....

Wikipedia ----

On April 8, 1929, Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt threw a bomb onto the corridors of the Central Legislative Assembly (inside Parliament) and shouted "Inquilab Zindabad!!!!" ("Long Live the Revolution!!!!!").

This was followed by a shower of leaflets stating that "it takes a loud voice to make the deaf hear...."

The bomb neither killed nor injured anyone; Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt claimed that this was deliberate on their part, a claim substantiated both by British forensics investigators who found that the bomb was not powerful enough to cause injury, and by the fact that the bomb was thrown away from people.

Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt gave themselves up for arrest after the bomb. Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt were sentenced to 'Transportation for Life' for the bombing on June 12, 1929.

Bhagat Singh, alongwith his fellow revolutionaries, was sentenced to death by a BRITISH COURT without even hearing the defence side and even without being the accused present in the COURT room.

Bhagat Singh, who started following Indian Independence Movement at an early age and was a follower of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi before joining Hindustan Republican Association, was less than 24 years when he achieved martyrdom for the country.

However even at that age, his strategy of fighting against the injustice was remarkable.

Though Bhagat Singh believed in Non Violence, but at the same time he was a firm believer of self defence.

Bhagat Singh, in one of his court hearings, said that when he and Batukeshwar Dutt threw the bomb in the Central Legislative Assembly (against the British government's attempt to enact the Defence of India Act), they deliberately threw it away from the people and even otherwise they did not use any harmful substances in the making of this bomb because they value HUMAN LIFE.

If they wanted to create any harm, they could have used far more distructive and dangerous substances and would have thrown it at the place where it can create the maximum damage.

And after the act, they would have easily ran away from the scene in the chaos instead of surrendering themselves.

The act was necessary because "it takes a loud voice to make the deaf hear...."

Asking direct questions with direct answers is better than taking out interpretations from something which is written and said in some other context....

And that too (asking questions) with concealed ID's....

Anyways, when direct questions will come, I will give direct answers....

Till then....

Trial and execution of Bhagat Singh ----

Shortly after Bhagat Singh's arrest and trial for the Assembly bombing, the British came to know of his involvement in the murder of J. P. Saunders.

Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev were charged with the murder.

Bhagat Singh decided to use the court as a tool to publicize his cause for the independence of India. He admitted to the murder and made statements against the British rule during the trial.

The case was ordered to be carried out without members of the HSRA present at the hearing. This created an uproar amongst Singh's supporters as he could no longer publicise his views.

Bhagat Singh was sentenced to death (alongwith his fellow revolutionaries) by a BRITISH COURT without even hearing the defence side and even without being the accused present in the COURT room.
