I am not a movie addict but do watch some awesome movies, where I feel I can learn something. Gladiator is such a movie which I watched and this particular scene has inspired me very much. I learned how we should plan and organize ourselves while taking up a particular task. Though the scene is about an army fighting to victory, we have a lesson here that victory comes this way.

In the following scene the organized army of Rome fights with an unorganized army. The army of Rome has all the necessary tools (weapons) to handle the task and they used it in an organized manner. Maximus who is the team lead here has divided his army into two. One faces the opponent from front and the second from behind. This shows me that when we approach a problem from all the sides, then there is no other option for problem to escape resolving.

When the battle starts the Roman army doesn’t show any excitement, they are cool and are focused with a pre-planned procedure to face the problem. Where as the opponents are seen in much excitement, thus it’s a sign of a organized team that they doesn’t show any excitement at work, but rather focus on the problem and gain victory which is the ultimate outcome. First they shoot, move ahead and when attacked they shield themselves (at 7.04 min) collectively. This shows their risk management, how they move ahead for victory without taking any risk of losses and also the team work.

And the dog leading the team on horses (at 7.20 min) to the destination from behind jumps through the fires shows the challenging approach of the team through the obstacles. I watch this particular moment again and again in this scene.

Having such an organized plan, the army of Rome achieves victory at ease. This clip is really inspiring and should be watched, I do not promote violence, but there is a professional lesson for all of us to learn.
