Poverty explained though Evolutionary Psychology

Evolutionary psychology is the study of why humans behave aggressively against others and why they help each other. Suppose a family of two daughters and Parents are shipwrecked. All the rescue boats are filled up and the last one has a capacity of 8 and 6 are already filled up and the boat has to leave the situation soon. Then parents usually put their of-springs on to the boat to safety, leaving themselves to extinction. This the Evolutionary psychologists explain as “altruism” benevolence without expectations. They argue that there is another side to this altruism where they actually is thinking of protecting and spreading their “genes” to the future generation through their daughters.

Evolutionary psychologists believe that aggression between men is due to this factor that people with similar genetic structure behave aggressively with those they feel has different genetic structure so that their genetic structure won’t intermingle with others and by aggression they can do this and suppress others from doing it or can eliminate by aggressive acting against  them with different genetic characteristics.

Poverty in India can be explained through this theory. India has a class based system originating from this human trait. Psychologists and Economists know that if welfare is not provided to citizen poverty will follow. Indian government, abstains from stating ‘welfare to citizen’ and “social security” as a mission of theirs in their policies. This is to preserve certain class genes and is basically aggression towards those who have different genetic structure. Giving reservation and other policies might be altruistic behavior with expectation of avoiding widespread retaliation from those with different genetic structure.

This behavior tantamount to aggression between men,, which is explained as, men with similar genes preventing another cluster with different genes from spreading it through aggressive policies in India’s case. So poverty state is preserved for ever and through aggressive tactics. Unless one cannot “adapt” to this “overt” aggressive behavior of dominant cluster then the weaker cluster disintegrates, which is the poor of the nation.
