I got an Acer Aspire Laptop 5920 2 years back. From past 2 years I did not face any problem with this laptop. I do not know the reason for this power failure may be power fluctuations in my house but suddenly my laptop got shutdown and when I try to start, there was no response from the power button. Later I checked with my power adapter, it does not respond if I connect my laptop (It starts blinking). If I disconnect from laptop, the light in the power adapter is not blinking. So I guessed it can be the problem with some ports inside my laptop.
I verified with my friends and some of the blogs in the internet and later decided to give it to some private laptop repairer (Rajendra - +91 9620201475). Now he told me today that my power port has gone and I need to insert a new one. Also display chip as well. So he was asking me to pay some 4,000/- including service charges and taxes. I got a doubt so I verified in the internet and I did not get any blog which talked about my problem. Later I verified with some of my friends and with him again to bargain. But he did not agree to come down in the praise and he told if I go to any acer shop, those people will charge around 6,000/- for the same and thats how acer people are making money. I need to know if this is true?
Later I decided to go with him as if I go with someone else and if they say the same thing, they may charge me more... so better not to take risk, I decided to give 4k and he told me to give my laptop by tomorrow evening. Lets see if he still maintains his promise I will get my laptop safely. I will post you updates.
Did you guys faced any such problems? If so share it with me and let me know if I am in trouble with this guy.
Thanks for reading my article,
Triguna
