The various ISO standards that are of use are:

1.ISO 9000:2000  :Quality management systems--Fundamentals & vocabulary

2.ISO 9001:2000 :Quality management systems--Requirements

3.ISO 9004:2000  :Quality management systems--Guidelines for performance improvement

4.ISO 10006 : Guidelines to quality in project management

5.ISO 10012 : Quality assurance requirements for measuring equipments

6.ISO 10013 : Guidelines for developing quality manuals

7.ISO 14000 : Environmental management systems--Specification with guidance for use

8.ISO 19011 : Guidelines on quality and/or environmental management systems auditing.

Organizations can benifit by using above standards individually in  combination as per the need.

As I am in Medical Devices,
there is ISO 13485 for Medical Industry related projects.
