Though we have been witnessing good economic growth and all round development to some extent, India still needs to go a very long way and we need many more reforms. The present UPA government is doing well despite the political compulsions and the selection of cabinet ministers and the work being done by the Union Ministers Mr.Chidambaram, Mr.Pranab Mukarjee, Mr.Kabil Cibal and Mr.Jairam Ramesh etc. speaks volumes about the commitment of the present Central Government and the Congress Party in reaching to the common man.  Some may criticize Gandhi's leading the Congress Party continually, but, I don't think anything wrong if Gandhi's lead the Congress Party and the nation when they do well for the nation and work for the betterment of the common man of India.  Excellent work has been done by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and the good work was continued by courageous Indira Gandhi. Some may criticize the actions of Indira Gandhi in declaring emergency etc. situation, but, the millions of people of this country can not forget the work done by Smt Indira Gandhi and till date no one could capture the hearts of the many Indians as is the the case with Smt. Indira Gandhi. Congress Party has committed to socialism and secularism which are declared by our constitutional framers as basic policy of the India. Pandit Nehru, Smt. Indira Gandhi and Sri Rajiv Gandhi has led to this nation of diversity towards development and harmony. When the time has come to shift our policy to compete with the global forces, we have embraced liberalization holding an upper hand in key areas of public importance and it led India to a new path. We have been witnessing robust FDI, employment to the highly qualified Indians in India and the chain impact. In a very crucial stage, when everybody felt that the Gandhi's may not continue to serve this nation preserving secularism and socialism, Smt.Sonia Gandhi has taken the lead in her own style and the re-building exercise is going on. Smt.Sonia Gandhi is certainly stands next to Smt.Indira Gandhi in Indian history. It is not an easy task for a woman who has not actively involved in politics taking the lead suddenly facing all the old fashioned politics. Smt.Sonia Gandhi has gained unshakable respect among the people of this nation though it has taken sometime.

The strength of Shri Rahul Gandhi and his quest for change in politics is evident from the fact that he never makes any statement for political gains and in old fashioned way. Whatever the Government does, the opposition simply criticizes and try to mislead the people and this is not the way in which Indian politics should be. Though calm and action oriented, he has made a point that he will never compromise with the unity of this country by making a declared visit to Mumbai in the recent past and traveling in local train. Divisive forces should be defeated at any cost and we can not tolerate any divisions in India as we have strong enemies like Pakisthan and China. I am beyond that Shri Rahul Gandhi will show  a new way to India preserving the long followed polices like Socialism and Secularism.  Rahul Gandhi has already made his point straight through J & K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and many other young leaders and people of this country are closely observing the glaring difference between our so-called senior and old fashioned politicians and the new generation leaders.

Despite the economic growth driven by FDI and our reputation in world as fast emerging economy, India has serious issues to dealwith. As Shri Rahul Gandhi will be getting massive support from the people of this Country, he is the only hope for better politics and better India. We have so many challenges and only congress party talks about common man. It is very easy to talk about rising prices in vague terms and the people of this country are observing all the developments and commitments by the parties. The commitment of the Congress Party is reaching straight-way to the enlightened through their spokes person Dr.Abhishek Singvi and Smt.Jayanthi Natarajan. India still needs to concentrate on issues like:

               1. Quality education through public sector institutions and making the public sector institutions truly competitive to the private is very important challenge now and even in future. Shri Kapil Sibal is doing well and mooting far reaching reforms in our educational sector. Common man should not be denied with quality education just because he can not afford to approach private institutions. Government invests so much on education through public sector institutions and those should not go waste. This is very important issue and this issue needs to be addressed.

              2.  Reaching to the public in a federal set-up and limitations is also a major challenge before any government. I am sure that in the near future, the Central Government may not face so much difficulty with the federal limitations as the Congress will be in power in Centre and also in most of the states.

              3. Making public sector truly accountable to the people of this Country is another major task. Public Sector has failed and not able to reach the public and gain the respect and as a result private sector is taking the lead. It is for sure that total privatization may not be possible and key areas will always be kept with the public sector in line with the policy enshrined in our Constitution of India. It is really a bigger challenge before any Government or the nation and a comprehensive road map is required to ensure that the public sector gains the respect of the citizens.

             4. Despite due place to the "Equality" under our constitution, we yet to achieve the equality. Complete credit goes to Congress Party in trying to ensure equality among citizens in all spheres, but, still, we have a long way to go. It is a controversial issue always, but, equality tends to come with rising literacy and all round economic development. We have been witnessing the change to some extent, but, alot is to be done yet.

             5. We need to concentrate on research and development. It is shameful on our part that our scientists and graduates are respected in the world and the developed nations like USA and UK is using our talent. We should use all our talent and talent is to be respected at any cost. The secret behind development of countries like USA and UK is that they respect talent and intellectual property and India needs to go a long way in this direction. We need to see many more inventions by Indians and in India. We need to inculcate a culture that talent is respected at any cost.

              6. Corruption is a major of cause of worry in India. Rooting-out corruption may not be possible as corruption is there even in highly developed nations like USA and UK. But, corruption in India is alarmingly high and we need to concentrate so much on political corruption. If politicians who are supposed to question the corrupt, are themselves corrupt, then how come this corruption be reduced or prevented? Dr.Manmohan Singh has initiated steps to prevent corruption in politics, but, it is a difficult task, still we can not venture ignoring the alarming levels of corruption in India.

It is for sure and I strong believe that the people of this country are very eager to look at Shri Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister and leading this country. Many believe that Shri Rahul Gandhi is the only hope of this country to bring the required reforms and to take India to a new high level. No one could question the credentials of respected Prime Minister Shri Manmohan Singh, but, India needs a charismatic and young leader in future.

Nicely placed the views ... Rahul has to go long way ... whatever he is receiving because of his family .... his own is nothing and he has to prove himself ... than only we can think of him. By the way young generation is really required to solve the current issues with new approach ... it is true.

Mr. Rahul Gandhi has good intentions and deep sincerity, and till now his character is irreproachable. However, these alone are not enough to become a leader who can take a complex country like ours smoothly forward with great odds piling up that are preventing the minimum need of appropriate governance of the country.
Rahul is a different cut compared to his dad and the situation in India has also becoming more complex. Nonetheless he can contribute much for the nation in many other ways, like what a sober Italian ex-hostess did to this nation. But for her the country would have gone the PAK way by now, run by a puppet government under the control of a set of hard core religious extremists.

His intensions seems to be real and need to be appreciated. But the lack of support within the party old/aged bosses for his ideas/efforts dampens the interest.
He has a long way to go. Either wait for the old to wither away or take bold steps to weed them out soon for the better of his party and nation. All the Best

Mr. Rao your insight on a social platform can boost the Future of Mr.Rahul Gandhi Indeed.

Actually even I had similar views like Ujjaval’s and Mr.Aras, but gradually it’s changing a bit.
The very current stances of Mr.Rahul Gandhi, ie going to Gujrat just before the elections and coming to Mumbai, and undertaking all the stunts; mark one thing which Mr.Narendra Modi is unable to conjure that is appealing to the Youth of India. Which is a major chunk in respect to vote banks?
Rahul Gandhi has two triumph cards with him:
1.	The Gandhi Dynasty Name
2.	Youth.
And as Oscar Wilde has said : Youth! Youth! There is nothing in the world but youth!
I guess Mr.Rahul Gandhi knows his power and will be able to play it well too.
