Friends, successful completion of CWG is a must for INDIA’s image….there has been so much negative publicity about it….let’s support the games now, and for sure it doesn’t mean that we support
the corruption involved with it we are supporting INDIA!!!!

Let’s spread positive vibes about CWG..let’s spread this message!.

Thanks Ravali for refer and spreading the positivity,
Yet everyone would agree the celebration could have been without controversies through honest dedicated better Managers. And the money that is wasted could be better utilised.
A country like India can not afford to waste resources for fancies of a select few. If the childern can not have playgrounds in neighborhood or basic sports facilities in schools, not even access to games to enjoy who is benefiting is the basic question.A country's reputation is through respectable deeds of its citizen especially in responsible positions in taking care of most from deprived.

Very nicely commented Dr.Ali Ahmad and thanks for the referral.

In case there is no positive[phase current] and negative [neutral current] pole in electricity we can not get electrical energy. However, I am not supporting the scandals involved.

I agree with mr chandra sekhar that we are confused at choosing our priorities. Indeed if our priorities such as controlling corruption, poverty, increasing cost of essential commodities and employment are controled. If the amount of money spent in CWC is utilised in eradicating poverty and in providing shelter to those millions of homeless then the real image of india can be displayed. Yes, then we can say with pride that our in our country nobody is homeless and no body is starving for food and clothes. But as our country has already entered into this event with the help of few corrupt leaders and officials, we are not left with any choice but to support our country and ensure that the image of our country is not damaged further. After all we all are the childrens of this great country. Jai India....

Thanks for sharing the details, Ravali...

The silver lining is that despite the hiccups and other factors the opening ceremony and the games have got off to a lively and hopefully positive start that should last till the games get over....

Thanks Ms Ravali. Even though there have been many negative reports prior to the games, but still being Indian we should be proud that our country has hosted this event. We can for some time let the negative energy cool down and take a proud moment to enjoy the games.
The positive and negative aspects can be held up at a latter stage.

What is in question here is not that we do not want host events like CWG and in fact we should be gunning for Olympics in 2020, but that we have not gone by rules of the game. Sheila Dixit says that she did not have sufficient authority to get things done in time and well.

This is what bothers us. The first principle in managing any thing is Authority should be given along with Responsibility. Neither the bosses nor Sheila Dixit is aware of this simple dictum in showcasing any event.

We look towards to our youngsters to fill these gaps in our capacity building at the National level.

Ravali, you can be sure that we all feel proud of what was unveiled at opening ceremony of CWG.

If I offer a Brand new Car to the writer at double the cost of its market price, and that too after a long delay, would she feel happy or feel annoyed.

Same thing is applicable here, what we are seeing was supposed to be completed at a much lower cost and well before time, But both the crucial points are being covered by so called success of CWG games.

On what grounds we call it a success? if we call it a success do we still remain with any moral right to complain about corruption in government office, where a BABU takes bribe(Additional Fees) and completes your task after designated time.

Why dont we demand precision and accuracy?
People who are hosting the flag of CWG success, where were these guys when everything was going wrong, nobody was taking responsibility, now when things have started changing such emotional questions are being raised to divert common man from corruption and delays.

Mr. Chandrashekhar I completely agree with your views....but something is better than nothing. Amidst of all the tension India is hosting the games ...to some extent we are away from "Death Shame'...

I agree that India has already spoiled its name .....due to the laziness of few top officials who were inchange of this. But the happening of the events saved us from a eternal shame & guilt that every Indian would have beared...

What kind of image we are talking about, and what kind of respect we are looking for by conducting CWG. Really, i feel pity that we Indian are confused at choosing our Priorities. What is our priority, GWG or poor people in India? Who are suffering every day. Conducting GWG cant change our image, controlling corruption, Stopping child labor, removing poverty and hunger, Increasing literacy rate can show the real image of India.
