Should we anyway compare ourselves with US roads to prove our roads are inferior Ridiculous. Instead compare it with somalia or any other countries of Africa or Bangladesh to feel superior to them!!!!! Basically we should compare our conscience with other nations when comes to infrastructure and not quality service which is determined only by the former(conscience)

Most of the accidents (if we see it from realistic angle) are caused by bad roads and not by not wearing a helmet or having a poor break lines.(they are just crude proxies for bad quality roads) It is high time for the rogue politicians and their baboos to start laying quality roads before being shamelessly humbled to lay good roads on the conditions of the multi nationals for setting up industries.(in return for a few sops and crumbs they throw at them.
Concessions and waivers allowed for these parasites called politicians and corrupted bureuacrats (exempted to pay even the toll on toll roads) should be summarily cancelled in order to make them feel the sufferings of a common man.

We are inferior people - accept the reality. There is nothing to in accepting what really is. We have no right to be angry on this observation because we earned it, and we deserve it. It would be really great if we learn from where we stand, and do something really good. For that you need to have "passion" in your blood. 99.99% of Indians (including those who think themselves to be "educated") do not have that. Just adding a picture of the interconnected freeway system in Los Angeles. http://www.pixdaus.com/single.php?id=277238 Let's come out of the state of being inferior.

Thanks,

Dinesh

Self criticism is the best thing to do but to compare and declare ourselves inferior is the worst (strictly my view).

This is true that India is lacking in Infrastructure. The Roads are worse affected. The credit goes to corrupt government systems. The business company will put the materials only after deducting all the costs invlved + their margin/profit. They use poor quality of materials and the product (road layouts) are approved by government people/engineers.

We as Indian people have to be more honest to our system and society if we want good results.

Yes, Indian roads does require a lot of investment from the perspective of ensuring that the road lasts for a considerable amount of time.
But I would also like to mention that not all American roads are good. Also in many places there are no footpaths and are poorly connected via local transport. The system there depends on individuals having their own cars, so you would not find many of them walking.. basically the context is different. So it would be unfair to compare the roads in the US to the roads in India. But never the less, the roads in India have to be improved.

We are all so egoistic that we dont take the assistance of foreign players to stream line our Roads /Traffic management/regulations

We Indians are very tolerant to Corruption and We corrupt to the hilt in everything very fast. But when we ask for changes /Rectification of our system We get comments that 'our system is good""We need time to think of change""We dont need outside help for better system'WE WILL HAVE TO DO ALL CHANGES FOR GOOD GRADUALLY"

WE ARE FAST IN DETERIORATION BUT GRADUAL IN IMPROVEMENT SO GRADUAL THAT AT THE DETERIORATION SPEED IMPROVEMENT IS NEGLIGIBLE
