What is sense of entitlement ?

There are few things we always take for granted. We expect our boss to love and respect us and we expect the same from our peers. We expect our boss not to be bossy. We do a little on our part and expect to get promotion for the same. These expectations are called sense of entitlement.

Why is it bad ?

Boss can be bossy at times because after all he is your boss. Not all the peers will like you because at work you are more of a competitor than friends. A little work will not get you a huge hike or a promotion because you are expected to do more. When all these things do not fit into the place you will surely be angry or disappointed. This anger or disappointment will be bad.

What do we need to to understand ?

1.Colleagues will never really appreciate two things :

a. Your long leaves

b. Your success or luck

2.Boss will never reward you for your little contribution, he might not even notice it.

3.Your perception will define your success.

Still feel you are entitled to something, think again.

Your not entitled to anything, you have to earn it.

This debate makes no sense for ppl highly qualified and educated have to suffer at the hands of imbeciles. Being a boss doesn't mean you have to have a relationship with all your subordinates, and being a peer doesn't necessarily connote jealousy. If yoy have a good feeling about yourelf,you should not be resentful.Untill we evolve ourselves we are not fit to be called bosses coz we may be hurting others with better sensibilities n sensitivities than ourselves.

ENTITLEMENT TO THE SEAT OF AUTHORITY VESTED IN YOU IS TO GO ALL OUT TO FULFIL THE ASSIGNED GOALS AND EVEN BEYOND.SO WHILE FULFILLING THAT RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU ARE BESTOWED WITH THE PERQUISITES DO AVAIL THEM JUDICIOUSLY.WHEN IT COMES TO DEALING WITH PEOPLE ABOVE OR EQUALS OR FROM SUBORDINATE CADRES YOU SHOULD ACT IN AN IMPARTIAL MANNER AND OFCOURSE WITHIN THE FRAME WORK OF PRIVILEGES AND REGULATIONS ACT WISELY.

Boss will never say that i have got this high post or designation after having so many yrs of experience.He/she would rather expeect their employee to work like him/her from day one.
So we need to understand:
1.never expect appreciation
2.Njoy d work

Always we have to make our own way in every organization. we have to face lot of type of people face in every organization. IF you will meet 1000 people , all of those will think different. The world is professional and we have to make ourselves professional. Boss will always play good & bad side with us AND we have to decide that how we will play with our boss?

In today's world we cannot worry about not being rewarded even after going the extra mile or working hard for it. We may be giving our best, more than the best that anybody in our organization has ever given. Still, we could be ignored and not recognized. Remember that this is not a perfect world. Worrying about entitlement will create a profound unrest within ourselves. Hence, we should strive to give our best in whatever we do and enjoy the work that we are doing. I know that what I advised is difficult to do, but there is nothing more wonderful than enjoying what we do.

What is sense of entitlement ? 
There are few things Bosses/Employers/HRs/Managers always take for granted. Bosses/Employers/HRs/Managers  expect the employees to love and respect him. They expect employees, to just continuously work like a dog, for the whole of their life time, and should never complain about anything. They are mischievous on their part 1) involved in politics
2) don't care about employee's health (24x7 work schedules) , 
3) treat him as a dog/bitch, 
4) blackmail them over their deposited mark-sheets
5) don't issue them their right of experience certificate
6) eat up their PF money
7) block their all rights of communications
8)break all the human standards of work
and the list goes infinite...

These expectations are called sense of ENTITLEMENT. 

Why is it bad ?

Employees, would like to be humans at times, because after all they are humans. A little "salary" will not get you a project done because "Bosses" are expected to lessen their greed, and issue a salary that are not below human standards. When all these things do not fit into the place "Boss" will surely be angry or disappointed. This anger or disappointment will be BAD.

What do we need to to understand ?

1.Employees ( humans ) will never really appreciate two things :

a. Not getting leaves ( even after they have worked on weekends for an urgent project or when it's something important for their life prospects )

2.If a boss is not able to notice what his employees has done for him going beyond the human levels ( then better he should close the company ) and always things whatever he does is a little contribution, and additionally always gives a lame excuse of being a boss, then he should not expect about growth and development as a company. 

3.Boss's  perception will define their own success.

Still feel you are entitled to something, think again :)

Your not entitled to anything, you have to earn it !!!!

This debate has got a sense Anand.  When one likes it or not, this truth can hardly be hidden.  Yes.  If you want "saddle" you have to go an "extra mile", boundaries and barriers are meant to be broken, otherwise, you will be saddled with jealousy and peer pressure!
