i strongly believe that it is effecting somewhere as in astro science, as per i m concerned, the time period of many are against the odds...see if it dont brings destructions, it will simply lead to mental tensions or disturbances...

Scientists are saying this is superstition, earthquake just coincidence. The gravity does affects sea levels.

With frequency as low as 20 years it has no history of causing any damage of that much higher proposition. But it is still a rare occurance 

Its all about nature. Man is seldom successful in fighting against the nature. Nature knows how to balance, let us all wait and see and at the same time ready to face....

Let us see what happens,  because  Gaddafi will go soon and the Arab world will unite. It could herald the beginning of a new era of cold war or even a third world war!
India will not be affected so soon.

The supermoon is a celestial phenomenon like an eclipse only much rarer. The main feature is closest proximity of the moon which causes the amplification of gravitational forces on the side of the earth closest to the moon and the opposite on the reverse side. This causes very peculiar occurances such as very high (boar)tides, Tectonic activity (tremors/earthquakes/volvanic activity). Even all instruments dependent on the earth's magnetism will record a very high deflection.
