Terrorist attack strikes Mumbai, Govt in cover-up mode…..

The nation’s business hub, Mumbai was again shaken on Wednesday (July 13) as three high intensity bomb exploded at three places, Opera House, Zaveri Bazar and Dadar killing 27 and injuring over 171. The serial blasts occurred between 0645 pm and 0705 pm, the time when most of the office goers signoff for the day.

The timing of the heinous act suggests that it was intended to carry out maximum damage and spread fear and panic across the business capital of the nation and it appears perpetrators of the attacks have been successful in their grubby, inhuman motives. Pictures of the ground zero were very disturbing, horrible and heartrending, blood splashed here and there, victims shouting for help, ambulances running, body parts spread everywhere, injured with blood oozing running for safety.

The attack once again raises several questions on government’s hollow claim that security arrangements have improved, intelligence network is well placed. Home minister, P. Chidambaram, Maharashtra chief minister, Prithviraj Chavan, paid visit to the scene of the crime. While addressing media these leaders as usual gave customary speeches, promises, and made tall claims; enquiry will be conducted, perpetrators will be chased down, commission will be set to look into the attack etc etc. The endeavor is to obviously show fake sympathy for the victims and consolidate their vote bank and start cover up of the issue, slowly the issue will be pushed under the carpet and government will function as usual.

Common man has lost its value in this country wherein everyday there is a new scam, corrupt leaders and bureaucrats are engaged in plundering public coffers. Lame duck puppet P.M is a mute spectator. Sr. congress leader and former chief minister of M.P has recently said Kalmadi and Ashok Chavan are innocent, these leaders as we are aware have been involved in CWG and Adarsh society scam. Opportunist leader Digvijay in past also gave controversial speeches, his soiled, useless speeches are generally intended to garner minority vote bank. This leader went on to visit Ajamgarh and met family members of terrorists killed in 2008 Batala House encounter, he raised questions on that encounter and wanted CBI to conduct thorough probe into the attack.

Bomb squad, security expert, N.S.G, forensic expert all have initiated their customary work, who did it, who were involved, who provide logistic support, what kind of explosion device, material was employed etc etc.

Government is not serious about combating this inhuman act, terrorism. The lone captured terrorist of 26/11 Mumbai attack still enjoying our hospitality in jail. We all saw him killing innocent people live on TV running with sophisticated gun in T. Shirt and lower, then why government is taking so long to hang him. One of the architects of 2001 parliament attack, Afzal Guru is still alive, was sentenced to death but no execution till date. Time and again, government says terrorism has no religion but it doesn’t want to hang Kasab and Afzal as the government has apprehensions that the move may hurt its minority vote bank. This vote bank politics has been ruining this great nation.

This institution of democracy it appears is killing common man; the roots of democracy have been infected by rampaging corruption, vote bank politics. Its time to teach lessons to corrupt minded leaders. These politicians will understand the value of life of common man only when their loved ones will be killed.
