Yes, normal excitement and wild excitement is different thing. 

I always thought that inactivity or inertia always built up latent potential energy. Some constructive avenue(s) are required to dissipate this pent-up energy which otherwise manifests itself adversely. So wether it is a fanatical approach to a game, a hobby, a past-time it is really wonderful and necessary. But of course we need to keep things in perspective and limit ourselves to just that required without over-indulgence.

How harmful is this wild excitement, it really pumps your adrenaline to an extent the body responds by quickening the breathing and heartbeat and raising blood pressure. How do we get out of this syndrome is something that everyone should yearn to find an answer to!

I totally agree with you Dr.Ray. As Bernard Shaw rightly pointed out "cricket is a game played by 11 fools and watched by 11,000 fools". But of late this game has gripped the young and old alike and is being followed my millions of people all over the world. Cricket Diplomacy has helped bridge gaps between India and Pakistan. Brotherhood came back between two nations. Hope there is a magic wind to convert this dynamic energy into a 'fruitful result' useful to all mankind among all the cricket loving nations.
