Guys ! It is very simple. Today all big companies have their own websites where the career portal lists all jobs. Whenever you receive an email like this, go through the companies website and above all look at the mail id from where the mail has come - it is usually from live mail or some such obscure mail service. Even the mail id will have an obscure name. So just delete such mails simply.

Just press reply and you would see mail id of sender changed i.e the domain name. This will give clue to whether it's from authentic company domain or fake resemblance. Also these fraudsters use bold, large size & colored fonts which make it look unreal.

Not only to freshers, I am also getting the same after 15 yrs of service. The letter i recd is from Videocon, Maruti. The real trap is amount that you have to deposit in the name of refundable security deposit that never refunded.

Never even respond to this mail.

This spam is on for years not, not a new syndrome! Several Nigerians are involved in this racket, via UK and India. You may like to refer to the following sites to know to what extent these fraudsters are playing with the lives of aspirants:
http://www.scamdex.com/
www.419legal.org
www.nigerianspam.com
www.potifos.com/fraud/
Please don't respond to such fraudulent emails.

Some suggestions:

1. No reputed company will ask for any money for giving appointments.

2. Previously companies used to ask to attach a demand draft from candidates to cover their costs, but the amount used to be Rs.50-200, not more than that. Even that has been discontinued now.

3. Most large companies have their own registered offices at some prominent place, and their own exclusive web sites. Do check in Google or other search engines. In case of doubt, phone directly to the company and check.

4. There are other emails too going round, telling that you have won come millions dollars or pounds in lottery. Never believe in them. All of them are fraud, notoriously named as Nigerian scams, as they originated from Nigeria.

5.Last but not the least, remember: THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH. IF SOMEONE OFFERS YOU SOME BENEFITS, THERE IS SELFISH PURPOSE BEHIND THAT. This is applicable to all dealings anywhere with anybody in this world.

spelling mistakes, illogical statements as in this case claiming 55 candidates will be given offer letters out of 62 and finally and most important fraud giveaway is asking for money to be deposited in an account.
