True Education

Actually all development (of our country) are superficial development. Basically we are in that darkness where we ware in the past. Until our mental development is taken place, all developments are like a groundless palace.

You are very true. Like Professor Jung said one should be in total harmony with ones internal orgnization. This should be the role of education. Education should give a person the ability to 'make a statemtn which cannot be scientificaly "falsifible"'. Random statement or educated guesses transfered from generations outside scientific affirmation tantamount to illiteracy.
I feel enmas we need to travel a long way before our educational philosophy gets standardised with world standards especialy in social science.

The book written by Dr Jalihal RA of Gadag now in Chennai , published by Rashtithan is realy throwing enough light on the suject.

Purpose of education is continuing to be un met since the time of British.
Since the rulers of Independent nation are in the previous path of Brotish the problems of Education are persisting and conteptous to needs of society.
all should awake and try for deleberate change.

I would like to add that apart from the required curriculum for teachers, there must be some kind of tutorial consisting of three important but routinely ignored topics: "Logic", "Ethics" and "Moral Science".

I do agree with you Asmita, we need to do something.I belive educating is not only in form of study we can have a true education that makes the society more better and understandable.Just for ex:if a person is even educated for how to control the anger ,how to concentrate i belive in itself it starts getting educated.

Absolutely your write up on true education is correct Dr.Ray and thanks for posting it on Toostep. The real eduction should be to understand who we are and what for we are in this earth. The real education is related to practice the humanity, friendship, loving nature, building fraternity with all and above all it is live & let live.We are in the material world and it is necessary to come out to learn about the true education like self-knowledge, self-realization, and self-control. Ultimately they are mind and body control. 

True education in India was lost 400 years ago.
That was the key thing (strong foundation of education)to be demolished before making Indian to get attracted to Western culture & education.
Unfortunately, that is called secular education!!!
This mental slavery towards western culture still exists even after 60+ years of independence.

Going back to Old Age Indian Ethical Education now practically seems almost impossible, because even if you want to study it, you will be studying its interpretation by a foreigner. THAT'S THE UTMOST TRAGEDY...

In a fast developing World where technology, knowledge, information explodes abundantly, mass finds it, too difficult to look for True Education. Education only, keep pace with the growth & amalgamates with the various facet of life that an Individual interacts. Most of the time it does good but, on few occasion it fails to produce the desired results. It can not be blamed for Education . I feel, it is due to the ill-conceived application of what one learned. The more the EDUCTION enlightens the better you visualize the World in correct color.

True education must be value based which devlops our minds for moral thinking and provides the opportunities to the people who wish to seek the path of truth and able to find the keys to solve the problems in the society. Present education teach us only to become selfish and to earn much more at any cost to live life .....

True education will happen only when we act upon what we preach!  Unless and until we form an alignment with our indweller, i.e. ATMAN, acquiring education based upon body consciousness is not really going to help!  Real education will happen only we develop equanimity amongst all living beings, and appreciate every other living being as the embodiment of Almighty, our hatred, lust, anger, disease and all vices will cripple our growth prospects!

This will always be true.. We need to do something for this.. What should we do ??
