There are two ways of learning in this world. The first one is learning from ones own experiences and the second in learning from the experiences of others. In both ways a person learns but the difference is that the first you are the one who commits a mistake and in second its someone else. The True Stories concept is great. I think a lot of people will be interested in hearing your actual experiences. Although there is no substitute, obviously, for one's own experience; there's a lot to be gained from hearing about other folks' experiences.

The below mentioned link, gives a true incident in the life of a software developer. This incident is divided into various parts. Lets see what happened;

Part 1 (http://blogs.ittoolbox.com/pm/career/archives/true-stories-the-dilbert-mole-8259) In this we are given with the background of the story. It tel s that in a meeting with the client the presenters bragged about a software which actually does not existed and the client like it and wanted a demo of the same in two weeks. But the problem occurred here was that the Developer, with the name Tom, got stressed because he felt that it was not possible, to prepare the prototype in two weeks. Then he leaves the office. Let see what happened in part two.

Part 2 ( http://blogs.ittoolbox.com/pm/career/archives/true-stories-the-dilbert-mole-part-2-8295) Here in part two I saw, that Tom came back to office. He thought about how to go about the project. Then he was given the information, that the client has agreed to given in extra time for the other project, but wants to take a look of this within two weeks. But what is most interesting in this story is the fact that the project leader, is very excited because he feels that such things ignites the passion in him and he does work better. So this shows the difference in attitude of both the persons. So going through with the story, Tom and the team, then created the whole plan of action regarding how to go about it and delegated the work accordingly.

The rest of the story will be continued in part three and I will get it for you as soon as I receive it. Just make sure to refer this article as something interesting is about to come.
