I was happily going for a walk this morning. I believe life is a beautiful gift and so is the morning and so I go for the morning walk. As I was crossing the road right outside the park I saw this guy who was continuously swearing as his bike had some problem. I was surprised all needed was a mechanic not all that swearing. Lately I have observed this pattern everywhere. I really did not know half of this even in college.. Today guys going to school are using them. I really want to know who on the earth discovered those words and why?? Why do we need to speak things which make no sense??? Why is this becoming a trend .. Should people stop such things and behave? Is some discipline required?? What are your views???

This becomes the trend in the colleges, schools, market. they can't make out the difference which is correct for them, if somebody tells to change wording or way of talking they say it's a trend but they not realise the future results but just aware them of the results in your area.

Mindful Idea!!! Well, to start with, this is just not good to use any UN-parliamentary words. As far as the bike is concerned it is a object how does that matter what you speak. We should not spoil our values by abusing. You are right that moment bike needed was a mechanic and nothing else. I agree that must be a frustration but, will that frustration solve the problem. Rather it will certainly delay upcoming schedule. I personally believe city does not matter, there are gazillions of people from metro does everyone abuse..."NO WAYS". People think it's a trend but who follow this as a trend then they surely are not aware what trend means. As far as education is concerned education brings simple living and high thinking....People now a days think they have all the rights to do anything and everything. I would only say money doesn't bring class, Standard is something which we have to develop by not being loud with words but with our attitude.

Thanks for referral Ms. Garhi
"Charity starts at Home" is an adage. Most of such unpalatable things, we do hear in common place. May be its' all new to you & I . But, it is used very widely, irrespective of people around them. We need to instruct the wards to restrain from such usages. Using abusive language is not manly as many thinks so. Mental burst, at time drives one to shed out such abusive slangs but , at-least, we need to take care of people immediately around you. Yes swearing is on the increase. We need to reduce it while working either at Corporate / Govt / Pvt level.

Also, Gargi, I kind of agree with what Mr. Raju said - you yourself were expressing frustration.

And here comes the crux: The method of dealing with stress/frustration/anger varies from person to person. Some people, because of perceived constraints, bottle up these feelings.

Others let off steam. This has proven more beneficial to manage stress levels, thus tremendously increasing the rate of recovery of mood. It is recommended to use a punching bag for letting off steam - just don't use a human punching bag, either physically OR VERBALLY.

I have seen a lot of people who do not use swear words. They can really insult a person with normal words - they don't really need swear words. What is the difference? The listener's ego is hurt anyway!

Thanx for the referral, Gargi.

Though, I don't see the problem with swearing. I do, however, see a problem with swearing AT SOMEONE - that's downright bad.

Swearing - in general and at no one in particular - especially when frustrated, is a wonderful thing for releasing pent-up stress.

For any person who hears such swears words, there is absolutely no need to worry because they are not really aimed at anyone.

Also, many times, some people (such as I) sometimes swear at themselves for having done something particularly (and sometimes spectacularly) stupid. :D

It is only due to duplication of western countries, where young generation have their own dictionary for some particular words, so to ignore it is the best solution.

Some people think, vomiting out frustrations, filthy language is required. These people if do not express their anger in their own way, they become sick...!! No one has control on one's natural reaction...! If you try to show them a good way as a true Gandhian, may be few will accept. The anger management can't be practiced by all. It's an art.

This is lack of eduacation in morale science. Now a days with an educational degree people will learn "who was Akbar or Ashoka", or "where is Pacific Ocean". But where shall we find the real eduacations like honesty, respect and love for others, good thoughts, etc etc

YOU ARE RIGHT... BUT
Thats the trend, specially amongst those who are not comfortable with good language as such. Have u marked... People who have just started a language, e.g. English, they start by the CUSS words or SWEARING, which in Hindi means a Gaali. Within the youth & new generation it has been picked up as STYLE... There is mostly no meaning behind it, at times it is spoken to VENT ANGER.
LIFE at large is so stressed that this kind of FOUL VOCABULARY has taken precedence & it is really spreading like an epidemic in the society at large.

Yes Gargi,
its becoming an unfortunate trend amongst all to use swear words ,guess the highly stressed life in metros and lack of elderly supervision is resulting in this muck .Even the cinema is doind its too bit by pouring oils into raging fires .School children think its inthing to talk bad words they use it as their local lingo, where do we end this no clue ,its not easy to say look other way and move on cause we owe it to our future generations ,all we can do is request parents nad school authorities but mostly mega starlwart of cinema too put halt to this ninsense after all tommorow they too are going to face their kids do they want this words in their mouth being used on them ,Is Amir ,salman ,and rest of fily brigade listening or have you and i become endangered species(no tribe of our own to agree) as alls well with others

This is merely a sign of the times ; in places like Delhi , the problem of road rage is so severe that even blowing your horn is to be done only after some thought.

People have become so accustomed to showing their emotions ; witness the scenes we see on most of the reality shows , where shouting , abusing , and even physical violence is all accepted as par for the course.

If TV mirrors society , then what you are talking about is absolutely normal ! Sad , but that is life nowadays.

Swearing is the 'in' thing today - look at the movies, the reality and talk shows. It forces the teenagers to use it to be in the contemporary society / match peer level maturity.
If there is any solution to that - its from his family who should provide the time, atmosphere, the sense of self-identity without going for indulgence as a bribery for unable to afford time to their kids.

It is a dirty trend peaking up. But the Sad part of it is even the school going children are using it without even knowing what it means. I have just finished my student life and have seen many guys like this, doing just for the sake off to show that they are bad and strong. Children might be picking this attitude from students community but its the Cine field and some unmannerly elders who are responsible in bring out such things to those communities.
