Virtual social network taking us away from real world

I don't think so, sometime its not possible to connect people directly. So, at this moment (virtual) network is better option which helps us to connect with them. It is upto one how he/she use this (virtual) network.

i don't think social networking taking us from real world, because at the end its we, who should decide how much time should be allocated and also should know our priorities... and it plays an important role in being touch with people...and every thing in this world includes both advantages and disadvantages... so depends on an individual to take  good or bad out of it... 

Well...you could interpret it that way because you might have made use of social media only to change your status and chat with your friends whom you could meet personally too. But social media is not bounded to chat with unimportant people alone. If you see the current marketing trend, you would notice that more than 80% of marketing happens via social media. Let me also remind you that the facebooks and twitters (Networking Sites) you use are the most widely used tools to market a company or its products thereby creating brand awareness among people. After all it's we who should decide how well or worse should we make use of new trends and technologies. The same knife that we use to cut a cake can also be used for evil purposes, but that doesn't mean that we should stop using knives in the kitchen. So I would suggest that we should welcome the new trends emerging in the market and make best use of it keeping its negative sides away.

obviously, we cannot blame social networking site to take away from real world, at least we are able to communicate to close people using it and let them know about us unless we feel the gap between people in real world... 

We can't blame social networking sites for this increased gap b/w us and our closed ones.Actually it is due to the change in our mentality and our attitude,we have become so self-centered that we find it better to update the status on social networking site rather than calling each and every friend and relative............how much practical we are naaaaa?................Wow

i don't think so social network is on think on people to use. it is harmful and good to people 

 By social networking we can improve our professional skills by utilising it carefully but now a days some peoples use it for crime 

Most of us are love to think & live in an imaginary world,so it is acceptable to the certain limit till it doesn't harm anybody socially, personally & mentally.
& every development has it's advantages as well as disadvantages.

Ruchi there are some evil people though do not want to live with but still it becomes a part of life. Networking one such thing and we will have to live with it.

i don't think social networking is an evil, if rightly used, we can build bridges over the gaps that occurred and can also use it professionally.The main thing is to learn to adapt it in a constructive way that it does not take you away from the real world and you manage your personal life timings. Handling the virtual world is a key to success in this fast changing dynamic scenario.

Ruchi, this is a fact and has become a necessary evil. better learn to live with it

As virtual networking is fast and easier it is adapted by us. This can be done from office and workplaces too. While if you need to call someone from your office to just show your emotions, is not possible. Actually by all means the Easy relationship is fragile and has no hard bonds.
But in consideration we should know that the real world relationship has lot of hard bonding.When two people or more meet they just don`t share their brains as usually shared in virtual world, but lots of natural emotions and body language too. 
People should get adapted and balance this evolution too. Before there was a debate that Television has changed the social relationships, but we now know that we have balanced that too.

Yes your are right but we can not stop it or we have no such any right to stop it. But we can change the way and promote the meaningful and right site. Today's generation so crazy that you can not stop it but they will change you or they will stop you. So it is better that if you feel like that you can definitely promote or generate awareness of meaningful site in which people can get knowledge as well as get in touch....

agreed !!! Social networking is good but should not take up the time which can actually be utilized to meet someone in person or call someone ... It is driving away the age-old face-to-face communication ... sad but true ...
