What is Progress of a nation ?

Thanks, Mr. Sreenivasa and Mr. Muralidharan for the insightful comments, it was enlightening. We all pass through these moments of creativity and the the questions probably meet many of the paths we take during a creative process. 
What I was trying to covey was is our political system mature enough to understand that creativity emnnating in individuals often more than what we see is the way to go and how we can make it happen in individual basis in regular intervals in our environment.
It requires various nitty-gritty strategies, like building and budgeting for state of the art campuses, economic infrastructure like roads, welfare oriented economic policies and decisions on a day to day basis including transactions, reducing contingencies in indvidual lives of citizen, insurance and rational choices for citizen and youngsters groomed into adult hood etc; Thanks.

When people are made self-reliant, creativity will flourish.  The present Indian politics spoiled this environment.  The successive Govts. both at the centre and the state made the people dependent on the Govt. schemes.  In the name of social justice Govts. resorting to spoon feeding.  People are electing those parties and leaders who  promise them every thing free of cost.  People are habituated to these schemes.  Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme is one such useless scheme. People are becoming lazy with these nonsense schemes.  In this environment how creativity can be flourished.  

Thanks Mr. Cherian for this insight.  I totally endorse your views. Indian Kings were very creative - result we see huge artistic temples and temple towers all over the country; Mughals were creative - World Wonder - Taj Mahal, and other Forts; Our artists, artistes, painters, artisans and every one was creative in some form or the other before Independence.  Baton got passed, our creativity got snubbed.  We are creative in creating "destruction" all over!  In the highly corrupt environment, how can you be creative? Who would aid you to nurture your creativity? Steve Fergusan, an entrepreneur, academic and attorney, raised a few pertinent questions, we should find answer to: 

1.	Did you refer to existing work during the creative or development process?
2.	How much did that work influence you (be honest with yourself)?
3.	What “creative” choices did you make about the work, which were not based on industry techniques, best practices or the functions to be performed by the work?
4.	How much of your own personality come through in the work?
5.	Can you identify elements of the work that could only come from you?
(If not, start trying to develop a distinctive stamp you can put on your work)
6.	Don’t be guided by the puddle of blood, sweat and tears – copying can also be hard work sometimes.
7.	If there was very little scope for you to arranging the different elements of the work because of the nature of your discipline, the choices you made when arranging those elements will be scrutinized more closely.
(So document as far as possible how you went about selecting and/or organizing the elements)
8.	Do you need to be factually accurate when creating the work?
(If so, the scope for creativity may diminish)
9.	Is the general public going to be interested in the work you have created? Is it different to other similar types of work (e.g. maps, diaries)?
