Thane resident Wazhul Kamar Khan fled the state eight years ago soon after learning that the police suspected his role in the 2003 Mulund blast, which killed 11 and injured 82. He remained on the run for seven years, earning a place on the country's most wanted list that was forwarded to Pakistan. He returned to Mumbai in 2010 and was thereafter arrested by the state's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).

Back then, the ATS claimed that Khan had a major role in the Mulund blast and two other bombings. But there is no chargesheet filed by cops against Khan within 90 days as required by law, a special trial court in Mumbai released the 44-year-old on bail last August.

Since then, Khan has been living in Thane's Wagle Estate area with his wife and five children. No fresh evidence, however, has been added against him till now.

Khan's name cropped up in the Mulund blast case in the confession of a co-accused , which is not admissible under the Prevention of Terrorism Act said a lawyer in the case. He was the last person to be arrested in connection with the bombing that ripped through the ladies' first class compartment at Mulund station on March 13, 2003, killing 11 people.

So what does our police force do, this does not look like some impressive work by them ..Does it?

Right Manish ! It happens in India only !! Honest and straight forward Police Officers are side-tracked to give place to corrupt officials. What more can we expect in India ? Thanks Sujatha for the referral.

I have one love story to entertain you all. An Indian army Javan gone to his officer and told him to give some day leaves to meet his fresh married wife at his village far from boarder.Officer put the condition that if jawan can do some brave work for Indian army then leaves will be granted.Jawan confused and thought about condition then other Jawan advised to say officer that he can bring battle tank from Pakistan. As soon as officer heard this offer, agreed and wished good luck.Jawan brought a original battle tank within half an hour and showed to his officer.Officer major was exited to see that tank and wondered. And asked that how possible to get the battle tank of opposed army.Jawan replied very simple whenever Pakistan army jawan takes our battle tank for their leave grant and vise versa.Because there is not any use of battle tanks at present.

We can not say anything but to accept what the Home minister says," It is a Human Error".
Presumably, these error crop up due to individual slip-sod (I assume may be a privilege offered ?????).
