When I was a student of law, I used to have thoughts in support of BJP and my thinking at that time was influenced by surroundings and especially the issue of reservations. I used to hear from my friends that the ability is not being recognized and economic background of a person is not considered while supporting the people through reservations. I could not completely understand the issues and complications at that time and the Hon'ble Apex Court's judgment on the issue of reservations. Now, I know that the issue of reservations is a complicated issue.  I used to think about this society, how the elections campaigns are run, the castism, the alarming rate of corruption and especially about the corruption in politics.  I do have a strong feeling that each citizen in this country should think about the society, the political set-up, the underdevelopment etc. But, unfortunately, in this country, many are not interested to think about the politics and the need of bringing political reforms. We need not be a politician to think about politics and everyone should have an understanding about our government as we concentrate on our family on regular basis. Now, I think, with the overall development, the situation is getting changed. I have had a privilege of attending a meeting recently. In the meeting, I felt very happy to know the understanding of common man today about the government and government policies. While the media has criticized the issue of hike in salaries to our MP's, the common man supports that in my opinion and he understood the issue logically.  While the media and the opposition has focused on the issue of extraditing Mr.Anderson, the common man understood the commitment of the government in addressing issue though it is late.

Accidentally and in the course of my observation of society, and knowing through sources about Smt.Sonia Gandhi, Shri Rahul Gandhi, some cabinet ministers, the Prime Minister and the work being done by the UPA government, I came to understand about the excellent work being done by Congress party now and the UPA government. I feel that the National Advisory Council is doing well advising the government on policy issues. Still, I used hear the people criticizing the gandhi's illogically. We should have a fair thinking while supporting the people to lead this nation. If Smt.Sonia Gandhi and Shri Rahul Gandhi are not doing well and if really don't require their leadership, then, there is nothing wrong in critising them. But, our criticism should never be illogical. When Smt.Sonia Gandhi was asked about the issue of nationality, she has the courage and fairness in saying that 'I understand the feelings of the people, but, India is in my heart'. When Rahul Gandhi refers to the Advaniji, he says that he respects the experienced Advaniji, but, the fundamental difference lies in the issue of secularism. Again, look at the Rahul Gandhi's address to the people in various colleges in the country, in Bihar and in Kolkatta recently, and he never resort to petty politics and he talks about the problems of common man and he criticises the state governments there emphasizing that the central funds are not being properly utilized.  These are all healthy politics and this is a major change in this country now.

UPA government was responsible in enacting RTI and it is proved to be a powerful weapon in the hands of ordinary citizen now. No one should be allowed to dilute RTI and the politics should not be allowed in implementing RTI. The Congress and the UPA government are committed to support the RTI in letter and spirit. Not only RTI, I had the privilege of knowing about the proposed law to protect the whistleblowers. I am aware of the complications in implementing the proposed law to protect the whistleblowers, but, these acts make very clear that the Congress and the UPA government is committed to provide good governance. Again, the issue of providing education to all.  UPA government has the courage to make ‘right to education’ as a fundamental right and the intention of the congress and the UPA government is very clear that they want everyone to be educated irrespective of their financial background. Not only the issue of 'right to education', even other reforms in educational sector in India now speaks volumes about the commitment of the congress and the UPA Government in providing education to all.

When it comes to corruption in politics, corruption tends to be there in politics. There are allegations in the recent American Elections about the Barrack Obama's fund raising. As such, there would always be corruption allegations in politics and there tend to be corruption to some extent as funding plays a crucial role in running any political party. Nobody supports the corruption and the corruption in politics. I personally believe that the congress party is committed to reduce the corruption in politics to a great extent and committed to make the able and intelligent part of governance. This is an important issue. Look at the issue of Shri Shashi Tharoor and look at the issue of Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh and these issue makes it amply clear that the congress and the top leadership of congress party now is committed to change the politics, provide good governance to the people of this country. There are critics showing the spectrum allegations and the allegations on Shri Sharad Pawar, but, people understand the realities and the complications in the course. There is no doubt that the Congress party is committed to reduce the corruption and to change the politics in this country.

Who talks about the need of change in politics? No political party talks about the change in politics in India vigorously as I believe though there can be exceptions like Shri Jayaprakash Narayan of Loksatta. Shri Rahul Gandhi has made it very clear that the youth in this country should enter into politics and he is vigorously campaigning for the change in politics in this country. Many are involved in any political party at various levels and there can be leaders in congress party too who are not ideal and the same can be a case even with the BJP. But, when we look at the policies, commitment of top leadership and the track-record, it is admitted by majority in this country as I feel that the congress is doing well and will definitely bring many reforms in this country. The top leadership of congress is committed to provide good governance given the complications. When the issue of Bhopal tragedy was raised, the government has not done politics, but, tried to address the issue in true spirit to the extent possible. As a result, there was a package, steps are being taken to ensure good functioning of hospital and clean-up proceed too was emphasized. This shows the commitment of congress and the UPA Government to provide good governance to the people of this country. Again, look at the handling of the issue of kashmir and there were no petty politics in even in that sensitive issue. Shri Omar Abdullah is being supported by the Central Government and steps are being now taken to restore the normalcy in the valley.

Thus, it is very clear that the Congress party with Smt.Sonia Gandhi and Shri Rahul Gandhi and other like-minded leaders are committed to provide good governance in this country. What is required now is to support congress to a great extent and ensure that the congress gets complete majority in states and also at the centre in future and so that, there can be many reforms in this country and India would then be able to claim that it is really developed.  Nobody can show us the petty political statements by Smt.Sonia Gandhi or Shri Rahul Gandhi and it makes very clear that they are focused and committed on overall development in this country and they are trying to address many problems in this country without shirking their responsibility. Feel happy to see the leadership of Smt.Sonia Gandhi, Dr.Manmohan Singh, Shri Rahul Gandhi and many other leaders of the congress party at the central level.

We should appreciate the facts correctly without being biased while forming a political opinion.

I do not agree that this UPA government has done any good or excellent work for this country as i cant seethe same from my bare eyes. inflation has touched its new heights still the government says, in disguise, that take out money from the people in form of taxes or otherwise for CWG. in spite of our hard earned money, they looted our around 30,000 crores of rupees but nobody making a hue on that. thats really pathetic.

About loyalty of Sonia Gandhi towards India, I would like to point out that she, in earlier times, has rejected Indian Citizenship thrice when offered by the Indian Government but now she accepted it just for the sake of greed and power nothing else.

Well Mr Rao I personally feel all political parties in India to be good for nothing in present scenario,,,,you must have gone across a recent survey where the honorable PM got only 1% of the overall votes to be fit for the post,,far less than Mr Vajpayee.

I think this UPA 2 is a fail govt,,,a meek PM,,food inflation,,naxals,,foreign polciis viz a viz US/Pak/China,,Kashmir,,corruption,,,misuse of power,,a divided cabinet,,,list goes on,,,& yes,,,ironically we dont have right now a suitable substitute,,,nor i personally foresee the chances in upcoming time....

And this sycophantic attitude towards Gandhi family wont do any good to this country,,,our nation needs a 'true leader' who belongs to the roots,,,understands what the sufferings & agony of the layman,,,,who has come forth fighting this very system & for the benefit/uplift man of the common man...who can overcome our feelings of bing soft & subdued nation,,,,who can with his/her speech pulsate the people from Kashmir to Kanyakumari....but not a puppet power center... nor another scion from a 'royal' family graduated from Harvard or the like ...with all the party man bowing heads to welcome as they know they have nowhere to go without the 'brand Gandhi', to remain in power & enjoy the fruits of 'common wealth'!!!
Note: My views are again personal here,,,and are only for the betterment of our country,,,with my limited capacity of understanding issues.
