Yes. I agree about the importance of improving the standards of roads. 

But what is more important is improving the standards  of the drivers and other road-users. The discipline, sense of responsibility, principles of proper time management, respect for rules, eliminating corruption at all levels, stiff and on the spot fines, quick disposal of cases,and strict licensing procedure are very important. 

Unless these aspects are improved, providing good roads would only lead more accidents; because at the sight of a good road, our people would choose to drive more recklessly. 

The drivers' standard is more important than the standard of the roads.

Of course we still need to spend a lot of money on our roads to make it as per international standards and we do have so much money with us to invest any time. But the problem is we don't have proper planning with us neither our corrupted officials are allowing so much money to reach. This is the reason whenever we try to do, we can't complete it.
