Yahoo has started the advertisement campaigns in order to beat Google and Microsoft. Yahoo at any cost wants to strengthen its reputation .
Recently Comscore Inc, an internet measuring firm has revealed some stunning facts based on its recent study ,” One out of 10 minutes spent by a person on the internet is spent on a Google-run site.’ This shows that Google is capturing the market speedily. The study also revealed the fact that Google dominates internet landscape in India and Brazil.Yahoo is now triggered with such studies and come up with a strategic advertisement plan to increase its popularity in developing countries like India, Brazil and China. Yahoo is all set to change their image globally and for that reason Yahoo’s creative agency, Ogilvy & Mather is helping out .Ogilvy and Mather is an international advertising, marketing, and public relations agency based in New York City. The world applauded the agency so much when it came out with the ZooZoo ads for Vodafone.
Yahoo has also released a big budget one-minute ad, ‘Anthem’, as part of its new campaign. ‘It’s Y!ou’ Yahoo! said the ad was shot in five countries and “features vignettes that illustrate the many ways in which Yahoo! helps you make the Internet your own”.
The ad has already been released in the US on Sept. 28 and will be launched in India and UK today i.e. Oct. 5. The $100 million campaign is to focus on the whole It’s Y!ou theme.
Yahoo will roll out the campaign to other markets, including Brazil, Canada, France and Hong Kong, throughout the next year. “It’s you!” will be featured online and through a variety of other mediums such as TV, print and radio.
