1 Idiots without any deep knowledge of their religion are a blot on their religion & society.

I am of the opinion that a firm stand is required to be taken on the subject and not only this but there are scores of things on which the Society should take a stand. India is a vast Democratic Country. Unfortunately we are not yet ripe to be...

When each voter really understands the concept of "karma" and thus realizes his/her responsibility, first to himself/herself, then to family, and finally to the rest of society..... only then will the change take place. Until then we have to do...

Yes Brig. Chadha. I do agree fullsomely to your view here. The take on the media is point on. On second thoughts the editor should be held equally if not more responsible for giving such lunactics space in the public platform. Most editors of...

some one sent me this. author unknown - but surely deserving of huge respects.

Holding grudges are not only bad for your mind, but research is showing that it’s also bad for your health! More and more evidence is being gathered and shows that hanging on to long-term anger can actually cause a variety of major health problems. How can simply letting go of bitterness improve your health? Besides the great mental weight that will be lifted from you, you may find that forgiving someone helps to: * Lower your heart rate and blood pressure * Reduce stress and hostility levels in general * Manage stress and anger better overall * Reduce depression, anxiety, and chronic pain * Promote feelings of wellbeing—mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually * Improve relationsh...

When you forgive a person you get a satisfaction that cannot be spelled by words, I believe.
Isaac Madhavan  |  Commented  |  5 months ago
Yes Manish, I agree with Murthy sir. I like it when you post thought-provoking, positive, and action-oriented articles such as these. And Saran sir, well said. Forgiveness helps us move on with OUR life. Recently, I've had the necessity to forgive...

Not to forgive is yielding to another person's control. One is locked in a series of acts of revenge and response, tit for tat exacting always. Life is imprisoned in the past and prevents us from doing fresh business. Forgiveness frees the...

I support this statement of India being a miracle. Given all the difficult situations, we still manage to keep our sense of nationhood. As I added earlier, it is the beauty of India.

What I particularly like about India, is the fact that there are so many, who accept that somehow or the other we are all children of the "Oneness" or "God" or " ". This deep belief is seen in the complicated methods used to avoid hurting another...

Yes Mr. Murthy is very correct. Exaggeration is the middle name of today's media. For that the impartiality and propriety has been lost. Pompous English Rajah have replaced editors in few cases. They do not even understand their job and where to...

One by one, we all stop watching TV and reduce the reading & buying of newspapers & magazines. This will reduce the media's undue importance in our lives. I have already implemented this. I refuse to be programmed. :)

The idea from Vidhu Dhar is ideal but it is a long term perspective. However something must be done to stop the realty sector from ruining the land profile in the immediate.

Excellent idea Mr Ravindra Sharma. I was thinking of this very thing a few months ago. The trees should be left in place and the road should be widened either side of the trees. The line of trees would form the lane dividers. Of course, this means that...

Nearly 4 decades ago. As a 21 plus, recently commissioned second lieutenant (2/Lt) I found myself posted to a field area in my first unit comprising Sikh troops. There was loads to be learnt - no formal syllabus - no appointed instructors - little in terms or guidelines - one was required to know just about everything - all by yesterday - multitasked to the hilt. I had no office. Most of the time was spent with the troops - training grounds, sports fields, firing ranges, cookhouses dining halls, equipment stores, living lines. Our troops my constant companions –- interactions with the officers (all seniors) was limited to a few minutes in a day - comprising highly formal exchanges (with me ...

Paths Are Made By Walking By Nipun Mehta, May 14, 2012. The 2012's Baccalaureate speaker at the University of Pennsylvania, Nipun Mehta, was an unconventional choice for an Ivy League school. To address their newly-minted graduates, aspiring to dazzling careers, they picked a man who has never in his adult life, applied for a job. A man who hasn't worked for pay in nearly a decade, and whose self-stated mission is simply 'to bring smiles to the world and stillness to my heart'. This off-the-radar speaker launched his address with a startling piece of advice. Following up with four key insights gleaned from a radical 1000 km walking pilgrimage through the villages of India. As he closed his o...
