The English language has some wonderfully anthropomorphic collective nouns for the various groups of animals. We are all familiar with a  Herd  of cows, a  Flock  of chickens, a  School  of fish and a  Gaggle  of geese. However, less widely known is a  Pride  of lions, a  Murder  of crows (as well as their cousins the rooks and ravens), an  Exaltation  of doves and, presumably, because they look so wise, a  Parliament  of owls. Now consider a gathering of Baboons. They are the loudest, most dangerous, most obnoxious, most viciously aggressive and least intelligent of all primates.  And what is the proper collective noun for a group of baboons?  Believe it or not ....... a  Congress ! And, o...

Earlier, it was not at all required for women to work, a single person was capable of securing a family's income. The reason was the less inflation. Now, it is not easy for a single person to earn a livelihood for his/her family because of the...

If we analyse the nature of students' demand, what they want as customers are: Expert Teaching Quality Learning Resources Well-structured Courses Either Marketable Skills or a Strong Brand or even both Flexibility Fair Assessment The concept that that all learning can be made fun and easy is flawed. Although it should be interesting, the task is to teach skills. It is difficult to get away with poor quality teaching any longer. However, in the area of assessment, there is insufficient objectivity and discipline at present. There is a strong case that all assessment should be anonymous and conducted at arm’s length. WINNERS AND LOSERS There are however a number of areas of new demand which f...

Wilhelm Wundt (1832-1920) and William James (1842-1910)  are usually thought of as the fathers of psychology, as well as the founders of psychology’s first two great “schools.” William James gave a new perspective to emphasize on HABIT, thus, 'When we look at living creatures from an outward point of view, one of the first things that strike us is that they are bundles of habits. In wild animals, the usual round of daily behavior seems a necessity implanted at birth; in animals domesticated, and especially in man, it seems, to a great extent, to be the result of education. The habits to which there is an innate tendency are called instincts; some of those due to education would by most pers...

Egalitarianism and India We in India, like other ancient civilizations, have inherited egalitarian values right from the ancient times. During the prehistoric period, till the adoption of the 'Varnashrama Dharma', the tribal life and culture in India were by and large egalitarian in nature. Different families of a tribe used to live together, either under a patriarchal or a matriarchal system. In their pastoral life, while wandering from place to place in search of food and shelter, men and women of almost all tribes enjoyed relative equality. Even in the agricultural stage, while people gradually settled in the river valleys, the different human settlements initially started with relative ...

With our email inboxes overflowing , and countless emails that waste our time in one way or another , the supposed convenience of email is under threat . Whether the messages are attempt to sell us something ,or worst attempts to steal from us , there is no doubt that we would rather not have to wade  through them to find legitimate messages.                                                                                                           what is spam ?? Spam email also known as junk email , is generally unsolicited bulk email which is trying to sell you something . It is estimated that that almost 80% of all the mail  sent is spam . That depressing statistic shows you just how much...

Spam is a meance and will remain. We will have to adjust to spam.
Rajesh Tekale  |  Commented  |  9 months ago
Spam messages are unwanted messages, which can be filtered as spam so that they don't reach again in your mail inbox. Generally when people want to spread their idea they send it to all available emails with them creating spam messages.

Have you ever heard of this ? If your answer is no you should know this. Tooth fractures can range from minor (involving chipping of the outer tooth layers called enamel and dentin) to severe (involving vertical, diagonal, or horizontal fractures of the root). Enamel and dentin are the two outer protective layers of the tooth. The enamel is the outermost white hard surface. The dentin is a yellow layer lying just beneath the enamel. Enamel and dentin both serve to protect the inner living tooth tissue called the pulp. The visible one-third of the tooth is called the crown, while the remaining two-thirds of the tooth buried in the bone is called the root. I know this because it has happened ...

Scientists are trying to find God particle. The LHC, a 17-mile (27-kilometer) long underground circular tunnel near Geneva, was built in large part to hunt out the Higgs boson particle, i.e, God particle. The theory of physics that explains the dynamics of subatomic particles, the Higgs boson is the particle thought to give mass to all particles. By smashing particles into each other at close to the speed of light in the LHC, scientists can break those particles down into more mysterious particles that are impossible to observe any other way. IF they find this article it would be a great discovery. But is their really anything like a God particle? Can they find it and can they decode it are...
