Installed and configured Tivoli Storage Manager Server 5.3.4.0 on AIX 5.3. In this environment I have configured one Library Manager and Ten Library Clients. The Library Manager has shared two IBM 3584 Library. Each Library having 10 LTO3 Ultrium drives with 2 expansion frames. Ten Library Clients configured has server to server communication with the Library Manager. Installed and configured IBM 3584 LTO 3 and LTO4 Automated Tape Library with 4 expansion frames. Defined device class, library, drives and paths, Defined disk and tape storage pools. IBM TS7650 ProtecTIER Deduplication Appliance configured as a 10 Virtual Tape Libraries and assigned to 10 different TSM servers. Each TSM Server has 12 LTO3 drives. DataDomain VTL Library is also configured for the same client but in different environment and it consists 10 VTL Libraries and 12 LTO3 tape drives. Installed and configured Storage agent 5.3 for AIX, Solaris and Windows clients. Storage agent specifically configured in Cluster and Database server environment and it can able to see all LTO3 drives. Installed and configured M48 Brocade SAN Switch, B5K F-32, SAN40-B and IBM 2109 FC16/FC32 SAN Switch. We have more number of LAN-Free clients. Installed and configured TSM Backup and Archive client 5.3, TDP for oracle, TDP for MSSQL, TDP for MSExchange and DB2 using API backup. Upgraded the existing environment from V5.3.6.2 to V5.5.2.1 and V5.5.3.0 Creating new schedules, policies, management classes as and when required. Automated the TSM client schedules and admin schedules using sql statement or macro scripting according to the environment. Performance monitoring and tuning for TSM Servers and B/A Clients. TSM Server Monitoring and Day-to-Day activity using TSMManager Ver.4.5 and Bocada Enterprise Ver.5. Day to day problem solving on client schedule backup failures and other issues related to TSM server.
