Besides teaching all aspects of Freight Claims, we also provide in-house training on Shipping/Receiving, Cargo Claims, Purchasing, and how all those entities need to be able to work together to provide a reliable way of getting goods to market undamaged.

We also provide Claim Handling on the part of small carriers and freight forwarders, including arranging for inspections and investigations, claim inputing, claim review to either decline, make a firm offer of settlement, or decline the claim.  In the event of payment of a claim, we can work directly with the carriers to issue claim checks directly, or forward claim payment reports to client carriers.

I am dispatched to sites where potential cargo liability has been reported; and upon arrival gather all documentation, provide a detailed written assessment of the situation, protect all cargo until it has been successfully secured.  Perform follow up assessment on potential claim mitigation efforts, and make arrangements for potential salvage sales.

Cargo or Freight Claim investigation has been my main roll, however over the years we began to assist all entities in the transportation of goods, by providing in-house training for shipping, receiving, purchasing, and cargo claims, and how all entities must work together in an effort to transport goods safely from one location to another.
