Brief summary :

Anil Agarwal Foundation (June 2008-May 2010): Project: Vedanta university project. Department: Construction. Description of the project: It is a world class university planned in a total area of 6000 acres to accommodate 1, 00,000 students including a hospital. The master plan is designed by Ayers saint Gross and for hospital the master plan is given by Perkins-Will. Responsibilities taken: Project manager for all the academic and residential buildings of the project, there were totally 11 buildings of total 15 lakh GSF, which included the space programming, detail design of the buildings in all aspects, tendering out different packages and construction of them. Apart from the above I was also taking the responsibility of various planning and enabling works of the project. Coordination with the design consultant in aligning the design as per the requirement or guidelines of the space programmer/concept planner. Prepared the budget for the board approval for the entire Phase 1a works of the project. Involved in the tendering process for the above mentioned building including segregation into packages and successfully awarded shell and core contract for those buildings. Then involved in getting various statutory approvals for the projects including fire NOC and clearance from local district authority for the construction of buildings. Prepared a space program for students union building part of the project, which we usually outsource it. Prepared Conceptual layout of master plan and conceptual plans for the buildings of township in our project, so the consultant started the detail engineering with concept drawings I made. Coordinated various other aspects of infrastructure design with the building design and received the working drawings for the construction. Prepared several proposal of different master plan to avoid the dispute areas in the site to start construction quickly. Prepared a detailed plan for the construction of the entire phase1a of the project within 15 months in Microsoft project. Prepared a detailed report of the design completed in the project, when design contract of multiple consultancy agency was changed to a single consultancy agency, so prepared a detailed report of scope of work done and it helped in reducing the repetitive award of scope given to the new consultancy. BALCO (June 2010-July 2010): Project: Aluminum smelter. Department: Project Monitoring and Controlling. Description of the project: Aluminum smelter plant expansion of 6.5 LTPA capacities to increase the total production of the existing BALCO plant from 2.5LTPA to 9LTPA. Responsibilities taken: Preparation of schedule of the entire project in MS Project and establish monitoring system to control the progress of the project. Also I had the responsibility of developing Quality control systems for the civil works in the project which included developing a quality assurance manual for the project and a quality monitoring system. Conduct weekly meeting with project members discussing the progress, quality, safety, Risk and Issues of the project. Prepare monthly report (MIS) for the top management regarding the project. Visiting of site regularly to validate the actual site progress. Coordinating with the designers in getting the drawings and documents on time. Monitoring the award of contracts and prioritizing them as per the project. Establishing material supply monitoring system and cautiously checking the status of supply with the requirement of project. Updating the progress of project in the MS Project schedule. Studying the timeline variations of the project and report it to the project manager. BALCO (August 2010-April 2011): Project: Aluminum smelter. Department: Civil. Responsibilities taken: Responsible for cast house area which was of a total quantity 20,000 cu.m which included structure foundation, furnace foundation, mcc buildings and roads. Also I had the responsibility of Foundation of alumina silo in which I did pile cap concreting of 1100 cu.m in two days. Executed a deep excavation of 10 m with the total earth quantity of 40,000 cu.m earth. Coordination with contractors in execution of the project. Monitor the quality and safety of the site on daily basis. Execution of work with regards to overall project plan and by developing micro plan on daily basis for the project to achieve the desired results of the project. Conduct quality and progress meeting with the contractors regularly. Coordination with the operational plant authorities and various liasoning works concerned with the site. Quadra Projects (May 2011-till date): Project: Hilton garden Inn, Muthoot lake view Apartment (19 storey) Department: PMC. Location: Trivandrum. Responsibilities taken: Project manager for19 storey apartment with 152 flats and also another 4 storey apartment, total with a GSF of 2.5 lakhs BUA.Responsible for all the activities from design kickoff to flats handing over, with regard to above was involved in coordination of design, vendor selection, tendering, schedule preparation, progress monitoring, safety and quality, preparation of MIS and cost tracking reports for the client. Apart from that was also involved in design coordination, planning and techno commercial work for Hilton Garden Inn, 4 star hotel project and is the overall coordinator for the project to coordinate among all the packages of work and monitor the schedule along with the progress of work and coordinate the issues, concern and take necessary steps to solve it. Involved in the entire Procurement process including- Preparing Vendor data base, Pre-qualification of Vendors, Short listing of Vendors, Techno-Commercial Negotiation, Evaluation on the basis of techno-commercial Negotiation (process will include for all, Civil, Glazing , Services packages and other packages which are related green building specifications. Preparing process flow by identifying the milestones and monitor the project based on their milestones. Scrutinize all the bills submitted by the contractors before certification and submission to the client for all the projects of our company in Trivandrum and also prepare cost tracking and cash flow report for all the projects monthly.
