am a Mechanical graduate (B.Tech mechanical) form National Institure of Technology ,Trichy(NIT Formally REC, Trichy).I got recruited on campus by Godrej-Hershey as Management Trainee. For about an year I was handled the 3rd party Manufacturing operations(logistics and supply chain), which included the production planning as per the market indent, production control, FG follow-up, Raw and packing material planning and Followup, bill settlements. I also worked in mechanical and utility maintenance for about 4 months and now I am looking after maintenance and production at location is Nalagarh , Himachal Pradesh.I have basic knowledge and experience in SAP Maintenance , Production module and basic knowledge in Materials module (i.e. PP,PM and MM). I am a quick learner ,open to challenges and Target oriented.My work experience has given me a good exposure to 1)production planning and control 2)materials 3)supply chain 4)logistics and also finance.

Godrej Hersheys LTD Role : Senior Executive (PSO) (A joint venture between Godrej Foods and Beverages and Hersheys) June 2008 to present(3 years) JOB PROFILE Role : TPM - Incharge June 2008 to May2009 Responsible for Planning for Third Party Manufacturer(TPM) Production planning and scheduling for 5 TPM units Material Requirement Planning for all the RM and PM Procurement and dispatch of raw to the TPM units in time Coordinate with Purchase, store, dispatch and QA dept. for smooth flow of RM/PM to production Coordinate for Timely dispatch of finished goods as per plans and efficiently manage the inventory level Role : Shift In charge June2009 to September2009 Responsible for plant shift operations at GHL, Nalagarh Plant. Production planning and scheduling for plant shift operation Lead the team in shift operations effectively in order to achieve the key performance deliverables through optimum use of resources. Ensuring effective implementation of GMP and HACCP requirements on the shop floor. Develop and Conduct training programmes for workers to create awareness on equipment, productivity and safety. Role : Procurement - Incharge October 2009 to till date Presently, I am working with procurement team where my responsibilities are Procurement of machines, spares and general consumables Service contract negotiations Vendor development Implementing Reverse auction/E-sourcing in procurement of materials and services Handling CAPEX purchases ACHIEVEMENTS Streamlined the 3rd party supply chain operations by coordinating with all departments Made the payments of 3rd party conversion charges online -in line with SAP-[Previously they were settled by manual verification of documents] Basing on the analysis of machine performance I recommended for small modifications in the machine (for Ex: change in dimension of sweet feeders fork-disk groove) which on implementation, breakdowns and rework generation got reduced. Achieved Highest Shift production till date (I.e., 6.5 Tons / line/Shift). Reduced head count per tonnage by motivating the workmen. Reduced the rework generation (From10% to 3%) and packing material wastages (From 6 %to 2 %) without compromising in product quality. Successfully implemented ARIBA Spend management tool for E-sourcing of materials in our unit. Brought in significant savings by implementation of Reverse auction using Ariba sourcing tool which brought in additional savings of approx. 1-1.5 Lakhs /Month on revenue/regular purchases alone-[this is in comparison to previous conventional procurement process]. Brought in significant procurement savings by introducing new vendors and effective negotiations.
