Infact the Congress Party is Blackmailing Anna Hazare his Team by saying them Mukhota (Mask) of BJP RSS. It is a pity in India, that who ever tries to fight Terror or Corruption is named as BJP/RSS Agent

IS  JAPANESE  DISASTER  A “BLACK SWAN”  EFFECT? Nassim Nicholas Taleb, author of a famous book: The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable:2007, is also Distinguished Professor of Risk Engineering at  New York University , was besieged with 600 interview requests, after Japanese Disaster, which he refused to give, but gave his account on the subject. A “black swan” is a metaphor used by philosophers over the centuries to capture the surprise effects of scientifically improbable and therefore unexpected events on history, inspired by the 17th century discovery of black swans in Australia when biologists had previously declared all swans were white swans. In Taleb’s definition, a bla...

Mathew Cherian  |  Added idea  "'Ekagratha'"  |  1 year ago
When we were young our mothers usually tell us to pray with 'ekagratha' which probably is a sanskrit word of our conscious origin which means we should pray with 'unified mind', then only our prayers get answered. Also Bible says 'the prayer of a...

Dear Mathew, Thanks for providing analysis. Is it possible for you to explain the phenomenon of the libido and its connectivity with ego. It appears little mystical for me.

This is a story from web :     One fine day, a bus driver went to the bus garage, started his bus, and drove off along the route. No problems for the first few stops - a few people got on, a few got off, and things went generally well. At the next stop, however, a big hulk of a guy got on. Six feet eight, built like a wrestler, arms hanging down to the ground. He glared at the driver and said, 'Big John doesn't pay!' and sat down at the back. Did I mention that the driver was five feet three, thin, and basically weak? Well, he was. Naturally, he didn't argue with Big John, but he wasn't happy about it. The next day the same thing happened - Big John got on again, made a show of refusing to ...

The Sathya Sai Trust, which manages the multi-crore empire of late godman Sathya Sai Baba has been under severe scrutiny and criticism both from the authorizes and the public after Sai Baba's abode was opened which revealed a treasure trove of 98 kg of gold, 307 kg of silver and 11.56 crore cash. While the gold was valued at Rs 20 crore, silver stocks totaled 1.6 crore apart from the heap of cash in crores. The opening of Yajur Mandir broke a long established lie that the Trust accepted donations only through cheques. As the Deccan Chronicle reporter noted, the Yajur Mandir appeared to be a mini-Swiss bank for top political leaders, celebrities and industrialists to deposit their black mone...

Why do we not touch papers, books and people with the feet? To Indians, knowledge is sacred and divine. So it must be given respect at all times.  Nowadays we separate subjects as sacred and secular. But in ancient India every subject - academic or spiritual - was considered divine and taught by the guru in the gurukula. The custom of not stepping on educational tools is a frequent reminder of the high position accorded to knowledge in Indian culture. From an early age, this wisdom fosters in us a deep reverence for books and education. This is also the reason why we worship books, vehicles and instruments once a year on Saraswathi Pooja or Ayudha Pooja day, dedicated to the Goddess of Lear...
