Backing up of Tally / Payroll package DB on to Cartridges and HDDs with the backup strategies. Network Troubleshooting, Generation of MIS-Reports Co-ordination with the vendors for the day-to-day Purchase of accessories for the organization. Achievement: Obtained Y2K Certificates for all the machines by adding a HW card. Introduced Fax through email using Global Electronic Mail system. Maintained the whole network having 31 systems in the factory. Converted the BNC cabling into UTP. Implemented Inbox / Outlook express as e-mail client. Ported Tally 4.6 (DOS) to Windows Tally 5.4 including the data conversion. The Intermittent problem in Tally on Multi-user environment solved by disabling online scanning of Virus SW (Protector Plus). Personnel and Accounts department Databases are back-up every day in the Cartridge, also the whole system backing up on monthly basis. Introduced a system in the Organization for backup cartridges weekly, monthly, number-wise. Also a copy of one-month backup cartridge is sent to GMs house for safe custody.
