1 How about experimenting with a Steam Engine ???
2 Great Idea
indranil  |  Supported idea  "Magnetic Train Will be better Option!"  |  2 years ago
instead of using fossils such as coal to genetate steam we could use electricity, such as coils etc to reduce pollution.
Manish Agrawal  |  Added idea  |  3 years ago
Hi I Like your idea but problem is that to produce steam we need coal or some fuel which will again lead to pollution. So i think Magnetic Train will be the best option in this regard. What do you think? I know establishment cost will be more. but it...
Nayan Deb  |  Supported idea  "How about experimenting with a Steam Engine ???"  |  3 years ago
Dear Mr Sadique, To enable the steam to do the work we need a Turbine and then transmit the torque and the rpm generated by the turbine through the drive train and then to the wheels. Whats the mechanism you have in mind? Moreover what type of...

Tata Motors to introduce Air Car - Is it the next big thing? Tata Motors is taking giant strides and making history for itself. First the Landrover-Jaguar deal, then the world’s cheapest car and now it is also set to introduce the car that runs on air, compressed air to be specific. With fuel prices touching nearly $150 per barrel, it is about time we heard some breakthrough ! India’s largest automaker Tata Motors is set to start producing the world’s first commercial air-powered vehicle. The Air Car, developed by ex-Formula One engineer Guy Nègre for Luxembourg-based MDI, uses compressed air, as opposed to the gas-and-oxygen explosions of internal-combustion models, to push its engine’s ...

This is exactly what I was talking about in the debate on other options for fuel in the HIKe.... !! Now with the car naring completion and @RS.2.00 per KM... What are the petroleum companies going to do once the real switch over starts taking...

in the article it is said that air cars will hit the Indian streets by 2008, but its already 2009. So my question to you Mr. Asghar is that when will this cars come to India, and i hope they do come, as this will help in reducing pollution and decrease...

This is a very good thing for us.. I want to grab one of them... Only worry is the government does not start taxing the AIR as it will be used as fuel....

As an employee we should put more than 100% in our work/job we perform and stop demanding party and activities which cost a lot for the organization... We should understand that unnecessary expenditure just adds up cost for the organization...So we...

We can reduce the cost by optimum utilization of the resources. For E.g. Saving electricity. Change in the systems, Keeping unnecessary items in store. etc

Funny thin that the first con some one can think of in a hybrid is breakdown and EPA estimates being wrong. Prius 2010 is rated at 50 MPG but people report 65-70 MPG without Hypermiling. I dont understand which way the EPA estimate is wrong.  And...

Yes Abhijit you are right Experts say that the under performance is because of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) test the rates the hybrids much higher than they actually are. The cars should actually be getting around 75 to 85% of what the...
Abhijit Mohanty  |  Argues in support of  "Cons"  |  3 years ago
Since the hybrids have two engines, an owner can expect twice as many breakdowns. A lot of the problems have been with the computers and control systems that have to be repaired to tell you if the car needs to fixed and controls the...

Water can power your car. Sounds like a dream? It's real. Learn how to power your car with water. It's simple, anyone who can change a light bulb can convert their present car into a Water-Hybrid! Cost thousands of dollars, right? Not quite. Instructions and the materials can be obtained for around $100, total cost, if you do the work youself. How can this be true? This is no urban myth, the technology has been known for several decades, you could say it has been suppressed, but there's no proof of that, but it certaintly hasn't been widely circulated. Increases in fuel mileage, miles per gallon (mpg), of 60% are not unheard of. This will work on trucks as well as autos. If you have a full ...

A lot of chortling in some circles, now that General Motors has recalled its EV-1 electric 2-seater and reva going slow in India. Does this spell the end of the electric car? Hardly. But it does show that technological advances should not be rushed into production prematurely. And certainly not in response to exaggerated fears about climate catastrophes. Detractors of the electric car point to the known reliability of the internal combustion engine (ICE) and assert that electronic emission controls and catalytic converters have achieved near-zero pollution. They are right; new cars hardly contribute to the pollution generated by other human activities like lawn mowing, leaf burning, firepla...

As far as pollution goes, if rechargeable batteries are one of the hybrid energy forms, central production of electricity allows better pollution control anyway.
