Branded clothes are a fad. But what is so different about them that they are priced so high. I don't see anything extraordinary about it that the it should be sky rocketing.

Its the trust factor which makes a brand so expensive. the trust which is built over a period of time and through a long legacy of satisfied customer and delivering value for each cent of money which they are paying for the product.

Yes systematic planning is essential, before targeting you need to develop a plan and see the demand for the product. Then we need to decide whether to use ATL or BTL ot TTL.......

I think we should not think about cost reduction, price reduction simple means you are cutting your profit. in that case if any brand doesn't compromise with quality i don't think it affect too much. reasonable reduction is always acceptable...

Yes I agree that a price reduction might threaten your brand. If your competitor reduces the prices then you might be in trouble. You need to be very careful in this situation or else you may lose a big piece of your target market.
