Key Responsibilities: Addressed queries; both internal as well as external through PeopleSoft and emails, interpreted and delivered information; proposed suggestions; provided guidance; identified, investigated and negotiated conflicts. State and assist the hiring managers, line managers on VURV application and other new hire queries, issue offer letters and acquaint the new hires regarding the code of conduct of the company. Responsible for managing operations, training new recruits and spearheading team for excelling business targets and service delivery metrics. Handle queries; both internal as well as external through PeopleSoft and emails and driving the need for an e-enabled system. Update the relevant systems with the necessary changes in the employment cycle pertaining to change in role, salary, location, targets and issue contracts as needed. To lead human resources practices and objectives that aim at an employee-oriented, high performance HYPERLINK http://humanresources.about.com/od/organizationalculture/g/what-is-culture.htm culture which emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. To recognize and contain Business risk. To ensure that all regulatory data and confidentiality issues identified in the course of business or which are relevant to HSBCs jurisdiction are appropriately reported. Additional Responsibilities: Handled my team efficiently in the absence of my Team Leader/Assistant Manager Operations as a team coordinator. As an accredited Quality Coach was responsible for grading, monitoring calls for the teams in the department and reporting it to the Senior Management. As an accredited auditor for the team, was responsible for auditing the responses and identify the root cause for errors and providing a refreshers course when required. Generating the MI (Managerial Information) for the team and updating the weekly/monthly dashboard for the team. Responsible for keeping a tab of the Service Level Agreement of the targets achieved everyday and delegating work to the team. Additional Projects: Was the Lead in Handling the PeopleSoft 8.9 version implementation project. Framed the procedures using the new navigation path for PeopleSoft 8.9. Also attended a Workshop: HRMS 8.01 to 8.09 Delta ED 1 organized by Oracle University in April 2007 in this regard. Was involved with a project to upgrade the policies and procedures for Regulated Salesforce Administration in 2007. Was involved with a project for HR Frontline Enquiries Tranche Two to identify the loopholes and amend the policies and procedures accordingly for better customer satisfaction in 2009. Was a lead member in the Corporate Social Responsibility committee and participated in various fund raising events by HSBC. Achievements: Migrated HR Frontline Enquiries Tranche Two from UK to India in 2008 onsite. Received various awards and accolades based on the quality and production of the performance throughout the tenure on key performance parameters. Sub-editor, The Sentinel, Assam, October 2010 to September 2011 Job Description: Write feature articles and take interviews of various personalities primarily for the Sunday magazine, Mélange. Edit, review and make final changes to the various articles, press release, news reports on a day to day basis to be published in the newspaper and the magazine. Compose articles based on any news report obtained of a regional, national or international significance. Key responsibilities: Mainly responsible for the Sunday magazine, Mélange; take interviews of various personalities, write feature articles, edit, review different articles sent for consideration. Regularly liaising with the various columnists and writers for their articles required for the magazine. Edit, manage various types of writing materials and brought out ideas that help to improve writing and presentation styles and design pages to ensure that the layout is as per branding guidelines Involved in every aspect of the publishing process right from content development to editing to final presentation.
