2 Efficiency

Mr.Srikanth i agree with you but can you please elaborate as how the complexity of applications will be a factor and how it will effect in selecting the language for an embedded application.
Nishith Mohan  |  Added idea  |  3 years ago
The holy grail of language and compiler debates is efficiency. How fast is the compiled code? How big is it? How one runtime package searches strings a few microseconds faster than another.

Hi Bhushan, generally this decision is made in design time, is the application needs some feuters like modularity(using shared libs from different vendors), security then better go for C++ etc. if the application deals with hardware, need to...

With Multicore n all, i thin the line is blurring...... Most embedded systems i.e designed with a particular function in mind can be happily used as general purpose computers.....

it can perform a specific task efficiently than a general purpose computer .

Embedded systems are pretty much anything that has computer logic beyond a circuit board and some chips; something that has a UI. It can be a cell phone, a DVR, DVD player, etc. Think of most consumer electronic devices. An embedded computer...

Yes while working with different modeling tools using differents technologies I realised that, like UML and system model based in control laws, and software resulted was less test efforts and more code quality. Also the UML modeling allow us to...

For many companies, the control product is usually a part of a much larger product. When the control is reasonably simple, and the volume is low ( 100), off the shelf standard control solutions are usually the way to go.If the company already...

I think following points will be helpful. Use as much hierarchy as possible. Use appropriate organization techniques.Document the design in an efficient manner. Make use of assumptions and simplifications. Use simulators appropriately.
