Brief summary :
Adaptive Device Middleware for Smart Environments - The main focus is to design, develop and sustain an SOA-based middleware for dynamically finding and connecting a wider variety of existing and emerging devices, implantables, wearables, handhelds, mobiles, portables, and smart objects for precisely extracting the context / situation insights and to enable uninhibited interactions among all the participants for creating a collaborative environment that is conducive and constructive for crafting people-centric services and applications. The focus is on the applicability of prominent SOA principles, patterns, processes, products and practices on easily and quickly realizing seamless and spontaneous interaction among diverse, diminutive and distributed embedded devices (sensors, actuators, robotics, tags, labels, stickers, etc.). Besides device-to- device (D2D) integration, there is a potential scope for establishing on-demand and dynamic linkage among devices at the ground level to the IT enterprise systems (ERP, SCM, CRM, factory and process automation systems, manufacturing and building systems, control and security systems, etc.) This is device-to-enterprise (D2E) integration. The permeation of SOA into the real-world and real-time systems will open up zillions of opportunities for creating and sustaining smart devices, systems, networks, and environments. 2). Java EE, SOA and Cloud Computing Specialist (Wipro Technologies, Bangalore, Nov. 2006 - Nov. 2009) i) Cloud Integration and Composition Framework (Wipro Innovation Lab) (August 1st 2009 - Nov. 2009) - Individuals, innovators and institutions are steadily moving their services and applications to Clouds for cost- effective development, deployment and delivery to reach out global clients and consumers. Due to the unprecedented success, several cloud service providers came to the scene quickly and hence clouds are being established in geographically different locations. Thus clouds have become distributed and decentralized entities. On the other hand, however due to lack of strong, impenetrable and unbreakable security standards and processes in clouds, majority of corporate and customer data are still being maintained in on-premise enterprise servers. With this background, there is a rising demand for unearthing competent and compact middleware for seamlessly connecting and composing dispersed and dissimilar cloud applications, services and data spread across clouds and enterprises. We have developed a message-based cloud integration bus (CIB) for cloud service, application and process integration. Further on, we would like to extend this in order to implement composite processes, data, services, applications and views. ii) Project Name: Modernization and Integration via Oracle Retail Integration Bus (RIS) Client Name Agorkor Retail, Croatia Project Details The client is the biggest retail service provider with hundreds of retail and wholesale stores and hypermarkets spread all over Croatia and the service is being expanded to neighboring countries too. The existing IT infrastructure is found insufficient, detached, inefficient, and obsolete. In order to spruce up the sagging scenario, the client involves both Oracle and Wipro in order to incorporate Oracle RIB, the most prominent module of Oracle Retail Suite, as the centralized integration backbone and the bus middleware for seamlessly modernizing and integrating the all the IT silos to join and contribute collaboratively. All the existing monolithic applications need to be renovated to be seamlessly integrated with RIS. Newer applications need to be designed, developed, debugged and deployed. Project Duration March 1st 2009 - July 2009 Roles and Responsibilities Integration Architect Platforms Leveraged JEE, Oracle Retail Suite, Oracle RIB, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), Oracle JMS AQ, Oracle DB and DW iii) Project Name: AMS and Oracle ERP Integration Client Name Indus Towers, New Delhi Project Details These two applications developed and deployed on two different environments. The goal is to enable seamless data transfer among them. We have analyzed the total IT landscape and recommended Oracle Service Bus (OSB) for seamlessly linking them in order to work together. We have identified 21 interfaces (inbound as well as outbound) in order to ensure smooth data transfer. Besides both real-time as well as batch data transfers were incorporated having taken the current and futuristic scenarios of the client into account. Project Duration January 1st 2009 - February 28th 20009 Roles and Responsibilities 1. Participated in requirements engineering (functional as well as non-functional), and in the design phase (the end-to-end data and control flow among the participating systems,), 2. Creating the detailed design documents (DDDs) for all the identified interfaces, 3. Involved in Integrated testing Platforms Leveraged Oracle Service Bus (OSB), Oracle Application Adapters, Oracle JMS AQ, Oracle DB, .NET Framework and Java EE iv) Project Name: Data Integration Client Name Santos, Australia Project Details A leading Australian oil and gas (O and G) industry had invited me for a consulting assignment for seamlessly integrating all its distributed and disparate data bases using an industry-strength and open data integration tool. I gathered all the relevant and decision- enabling information about the existing IT ecosystem including all the diverse data stores, analyzed all the pros and cons including the organizations IT strategy and recommended ODI due to its futuristic features such as its compliance to SOA standards and also ODI has the facilitating modules to effortlessly transfer a variety of data from different kinds of data sources. Project Duration November 2008 - December 2008 Roles and Responsibilities Participated in all the sessions organized by various divisions and business units of the client in order to grasp a very good understanding of the existing IT investments, goals (tactic as well as strategic). Created the strategy documents for the following 1. Distributed Data Integration (both batch as well as real-time) 2. A Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) roadmap document for the futuristic targets including composite data services for enterprise information integration (EII) 3. Recommended Cloud approach for high-performance, assurance, availability, evolvability, agility (establishing a private data cloud and transitioning into data warehouse as a service (DWaaS) mode) 4. Submitted a proof of concept (PoC) document for transferring data from different sources into Oracle DB using DWB and Oracle data integrator 5. The architecture recommended is capable of responding to 5000+ concurrent users Platforms R Oracle Service Bus (OSB), ODI, OWB, Oracle DB and DW v) Project Name: Renova, the SOA Workbench Development Client Name For Internal Purpose Project Details Renova is a tools and assets-based, model-driven, service-oriented, and enterprise-scale system development platform. This platform is being empowered to facilitate service composition in order to arrive at composite applications that are inherently nimble, business-aligned and adaptive. Using a standard UML toolkit, we start with creating platform-independent models (PIMs) from the business requirements. Then the models persisted in a standardized format can be fed to any MDA-compliant toolkit to generate the business logic in a desired language (say Java, C#, etc.) using code generation utilities, cartridges, etc and patterns (transformation, implementation and technology). The final output is tuned and refined in order to make it deployable and executable. | ||

Client Name Softlution, Netherlands Project Details We have developed a few packages for transitioning COBOL code into Java code. Standalone and command line interface (CLI) applications are web-enabled. In order to incorporate desktop experience for web applications, Web 2.0 technologies have been utilized liberally as per clients instructions. For standards-based reengineering of old applications, we made use of meta-modeling concept, the open source Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF), OMGs Architecture driven modernization (ADM), and language cartridges to reverse-engineer existing applications to machine-readable model and forward-engineer the models to executable code in new languages to be deployed and managed in latest platforms. This is a Java-based tool for analyzing the COBOL code and to create the business functionality model Project Duration 1.6 years Roles and Responsibilities Technical Lead Platforms Leveraged Sun JDK and JRE 5, .NET Framework, Eclipse, and Netbeans, 4). Technical Manager, Indo-Fuji Information Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, July 2001 - April. 2005 for the client Fujitsu Ltd., Japan (www.indofuji.com) i. Enterprise Management Solution (EMS) and Helpdesk Software - This is designed using three-tier architecture for achieving performance, scalability, flexibility and availability. The 3-tier architecture for this web application is designed in such a way that it could be accessed by 5000+ concurrent users. It is Web and WAP-enabled and also has a stand-alone application client. On client side, we are using XHTML, WML, and XML languages. The protocols used are WSP, SOAP and HTTP. The middle tier business logic is by Java Server Pages (JSP) and XML and we used Xerces XML parser on server side. We used JDBC 2 as the data base access mechanism and XSL, XSLT and XML Schema for converting XML files into HTML and WML files to be displayed in both Web browser and mobile phones micro browser. i. Helpdesk Functionality Enhancement using XML, XSL, XSLT, SOAP, and Servlet - This is an important module of the Fujitsus EMS product SystemWalker . The assignment here is to develop a customizable and personalized GUI for trouble ticket issue, log, manage, resolve, inform, queue, and close functionalities. We have used the JEE technologies such as SOAP, XML, and Java Servlet. The unique features include dynamic generation of XML Schema, dynamic generation of user fields independent of database table fields. This helpdesk module works both in English and Japanese systems. ii. Making a mission-critical application Cluster-aware using Microsoft Cluster Service (MCS) - The requirement is to make a service-oriented application as Cluster-aware for the sake of attaining high availability (HA), scalability, fault-tolerance, load balancing and centralized manageability, fail over and fail back. The application involved in this project is Fujitsus advanced file server product referred to as VolumeSaver to be made as a cluster-aware application compatible for Win NT and 2000 environments iii. Platform-independent (PI) C Compiler for Linux-based system - The idea behind this development is based on Architectural Independent Distributed Framework (ANDF). The proposed C compiler will result the same intermediate code in all the leading processors in a Linux-based system. As Microsoft .NET framework brings forth the concept of middle layer for achieving language independence, this C compiler compiles any C Source code to a common intermediate code that serves as an abstraction layer for any specific processor. iv. XML Security Toolkit: A toolkit developed using Java programming language for compressing and securing XML files while transmitting via the public network. We have created a high performance XML file compression algorithm XSharp which has been incorporated into this toolkit. Also we have made use of the ECC encryption algorithm for creating a key pair (Public and Private keys) for digital signing, encryption, and decryption of XML files. Books 1.
